Nope, even the U3 is barely adequate for my 15.6 laptop.

Well the main point of a cooling pad is for the laptop to take in cool air instead of stale hot air. My CM U3 made quite a substantial difference in my Clevo W350ST which surprised me (almost 10C difference).

The bigger the laptop fans are, the more effective the cooler pad will be IMO.

Need a recommendation for my Lenovo Y400. The laptop overheats very fast and FPS will drop after 20-30 minutes of gaming.

I put my laptop on gaming mode, so it runs hotter than normal. The laptop is about 18 months old so I'm not sure if I need to repaste it.

Budget RM 80 - 150 for cooling pad

Don't want something that is too noisy and bulky.

Hey guys, I'm getting a decent cooler pad but not really sure which one to go for. Model is Dell Insipron 15.6".
The vent looks like this:
Should I get a U2/U3?
Thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

I bought Lenovo Y410P at 2013... I play Diablo 3, COD only Single Player and others FPS games, and the left side of the laptop gets really hot... I had a normal cooling pad with 2 fans and I run the dust cleaning that built-in after gaming(as it will run the fan faster and it will cool the laptop faster)... So sad I realize the review too late as most of them complain it is too easy to get hot while gaming...

normally, no need. but after 3 years, you might need to repaste it... but it depends. just need to clear some dust at the vent there... probably block by dust

yes. that lenovo series is kinda bad.. heat issue..and its 14" makes it a bit trouble for heat disperse.
