tongue.gif I am one of the lucky people invited to test HSBB. Yesterday installation is quiet straightfoward tongue.gif . Nice wiring job.

uTorrent once peak at 2.5Mbps in a flash and a got consistency of DL 1.1MBps.

TM Technician told me that wifi can get better speed that wired. Wonder why hmm.gif

5 MBps = (5 x 8) Mbps = 40 Mbps

Does a 10 Mbps subscription give 40 Mbps of download speed?????

how come 10Megabit can download at 5++ MegaBytes per second?
1Mb = 128KB right
so 10x128KB= 1280KB which is around 1.28MegaBytes
Am i right?

If i remember correctly, this is a triple play service...

Not all 10Mbps is for internet alone. It is divided for IPTV and phone services.

and 1MB = 1024KB

EDIT: oh...and not all of them here are testing the same 10Mbps package i think...some of them get higher ones...

normal 1MB package you will get 100KB/s speed of download. what he mean in his word is that he get at 1100KB/s, and its 10 times faster then the 1MB speed. which mean it is its 10MB speed as he got for the trial...

Something to clarify back.

10MBps is for Internet alone. There will be dedicated line for IPTV/Cordless call and there will be serving 32 channel for IPTV .

Wah.. this is good news instead. My 4Mb Streamyx contract is set to expire in September. I guess I'll be signing up for HSBB next week..provided the price is not too exorbitant. biggrin.gif

29. If I were to switch to HSBB service, what will happen to my contact obligation on Streamyx?
TM will waive any penalty imposed upon successful HSBB service activation.

TM's HSBB Countdown: 9 Days

HAHAHA...This fellow simply talk only..Pls don't talk so much crap if don't know anything about it.
If any company or organization happens to adopt IPv6 into their system or doing any migration,
They have choices, such as Dual Stack and Tunneling . Dual Stack means using both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time, this can be done cause they are different in OSI layers.
Whereas Tunneling is a different technique that encapsulate IPv6 in IPv4 packet while travelling between users and servers.

That's not how triple play services work. If your internet rate is 10mbps, then that is what's set aside for internet. It is not affected by phone or TV usage. Those come out of additional line capacity which has not been allocated to internet use.

Last time read from some source saying IPv6 IP can not access to IPv4 domain..
so.... paiseh la.... dont even know nowdays got Dual-Stack and Tunneling...
But without those Dual-Stack and Tunneling. IPv4 and IPv6 is not compatible right ?
