i think wireless is only on the router. From the router, it will connect to fiber
*
So it mean wireless only at home?

CODE

HSBB Price starting from June 2010
5mbps for rm30/month

10mbps for rm50/month

25mbps for rm100/month

50mbps for rm180/month

3.6mbps (with wireless usb modem) for rm30/month

14.4mbps (with wireless usb modem) for rm70/month

When i looked at the 3.6 it remind me of Celcom Broadband that why i feel it is somehow wireless even though it's not.

Oh and if the above price is true then i sign up for 50Mb connection drool.gif

If they apply fair usage policy, VPN will not be able to counteract that.

Not very good news sad.gif
I hope they offer something like 500GB tongue.gif per month for fair usage policy for heavy downloader.

10 Megabit - up to 5++MegaBytes/sec of download
1 MegaBit - up to 170 KiloBytes/sec  of download
*
how come 10Megabit can download at 5++ MegaBytes per second?
1Mb = 128KB right
so 10x128KB= 1280KB which is around 1.28MegaBytes
Am i right?

what i am worry about is, they give us cheap package but limited bandwidth.
For example RM50 for 10Mbps but only 50GB bandwidth.
And for heavy user, they will have plan like RM200 for 10Mbps and 300GB?

Seriously. You're setting yourself up for a disappointment.

1) The price will never be that cheap. Think about it. What about Streamyx?
2) A 50GB cap per month is more than enough for the average user. That's more than 1 GB a day. If you think that's not enough and you want more, I honestly think you should pay more.
Precisely. That's far more realistic.
*
Well that was just an Example, even right now the price is unknown. For me i target the 10Mb to be around the Streamyx 4Mb package price.
Well i hope the HSBB come with a good bandwidth cap for an a little higher than average user.

in short (or tl;dr version):

better download but it's ratio still sux...

betting on constant and stable connection for international servers with HSBB, especially game servers, say 3 months later?

download from international file servers?
CS:S / MW2 to europe?
10/25 men raid for WoW/ Aion/ Rapplez/ WH?

*laughing menacingly*

overcrowded is overcrowded...

i'll enjoy more seeing people yell 'FUUUUUUUUU - TV SHOW lags like sh!t (*operator: plz flip ur modem sideways, restart and chant 'wooka buuka kaala baanga' when it tries to connect*)' thru hotlines when they turn on IPTV then...
*
Hahaha i remember those old days when we was using the old tv set. When the tv signal lost we would give a slap to the tv and it will fix automatically.

I can't imagine IPTV lagging. laugh.gif

They bundle IPTV together with HSBB. It's part of their Triple Play thing. If you want to watch additional channels (besides the free channels), then you'll have to pay. e.g. +RM10 for Channel [V]. The free channels include normal TV channels such as RTM1, 2, 3, NTV7 and 8TV (Should have more). If you don't have to subscribe for additional channels, then you only have to pay for HSBB.

Just hopefully they will come out with Video on Demand services so we can enjoy HD movies. Personally I don't think it will lag when streaming these contents and it will be better than Astro during rain or cloudy weather.

Trust me, even if other ISP comes here, their price will still be higher. They need to buy the lines from TM.

Helpline personnel are not trained thoroughly. What they can do is to inform their supervisor or technician about problems, but if you think that they can advise you, think again. They are only trained to follow the manual.

Fortunately our internet is not filtered that much. Look at countries like China. They banned most of the websites, citing that its not good for their country. Look at SG, the users are not allowed to torrent. Which policies do you think is better? Malaysia's or other countries?
*
I am wondering, does the free channel will be in HD? 1080p?
