Isit under the Fn Button? i think its easier if you read the manual that comes with the camera 1st before asking. you at least need to know the basic and the buttons, or else you'd be lost when someone here tells u to press this, this and that.. learn how to operate your camera from the manual. it should be fairly easy to understand. And what are the differance between those flash? eg, rear, fill, wireless and so on... |

QUOTE(achew @ Mar 2 2010, 01:24 AM) well... let say like this...plug in the battery... switch on the flash... press test button... and the bulb flash in strobe mode.. aka multi flash fired in high frequency... actually even without holding the fn button for 4 sec we can set it to strobe mode by select the multi mode.. the bottom most right one (other than TTL and manual mode) set free as high as possible and how many time you want it to blink... (but higher level will make it faster to stop firing because insufficient power) even if I set to full power 1/1 .. when I press the test button.. It still flash in burst mode.. Problem solved hehe now I understand... fn for 4 sec... and the option testm test1 test 3 is the setting for test button... testm = the test button will become strobe... test1 = fire once... test 3 = fire 3 times... achew: Cool, something new from you!
Banzai_san: I am always in Drive (High) which is 5 FPS on the A700/A900. If I had an A550 I might be at 7 FPS. However I'd still click only one frame except when you see a possible series of expressions (or when a lot of people are walking past the subject, they may block the subject.) Sometimes it helps with candids as people tend to blink! cjlai: I prefer the tonality of the buds - they look kinda wooden. Ksano: TestM = Test Modelling Light. So it lights up for 4 seconds and you can move the flash about to see where the shadows will fall. |

Thanks for sharing your opinion on the "Drive mode" (ie Single/Continuous shots) guys.
QUOTE(albnok @ Mar 1 2010, 05:45 PM) Banzai_san: The scene has a lot of white. When that happens the camera tries to save highlights by underexposing slightly. So when you see a white subject or white shirt, you'd have to remember to set your EV accordingly. If you want for the camera to meter you well, wear black LOL. Ok. Understood. No wonder photos of me (which were taken recently), my skin look so dark... I was wearing a white dress. One tiny qn, is it the appropriate approach to tackle the problem above by changing the DRO setting to higher say Lvl 3 etc... to make the skin fairer (whiter) ? rather than adjusting the eV setting? Is that a proper way? QUOTE(albnok @ Mar 2 2010, 01:58 AM) Banzai_san: I am always in Drive (High) which is 5 FPS on the A700/A900. If I had an A550 I might be at 7 FPS. Maybe follow your style... ie setting my default Drive Mode to High. 4-5 continuous shots is quite a lot for me at the moment. So, the Speed Priority Mode (ie 7fps) I will leave unused at this time |

Now, for some street shooting, not necessarily of the street portraiture variety!
![]() I came, I saw. ![]() A tribute to Cyanide & Happiness! ![]() Shaded. ![]() farex and I ended up taking a detour through Sultan Ismail, coming to the front of Hard Rock Cafe. The Opteka 85mm F1.4 is nice to street-shoot with although I do feel like I cheated because it is tele. ![]() The target destination was Dang Wangi LRT station. ![]() Finally, the view I was looking for! Vivitar 24mm F2.0 at F2.0 because I could not set the aperture. Banzai_san: Yes, DRO would help! |
