some terms is state in manual (mostly related to your model)

the camera use is TLR. not SLR.. for how TLR work.. don't know.. smile.gif

don't "always" do fast shutter + drive mode should able to give you longer shutter life, usually normal MTBF for entry level should around 50 ~ 100k release..

M mode is manual metering exposure. you can override shutter speed and aperture, since this two is you determine them, so no compensation, you decide the both value for either over or under

correct.. beercan is minolta 70210 f/4, i think is because the shape of the lens are like a beer can (those long type, not the ordinary carbonated drink type)
