Hello, I am about to buy a PS3. Which one is the correct power supply for PS3 in Malaysia, 110V or 220V? I am currently in Australia, and if I am not mistaken, both country are using the same power output?

I've also read somewhere that PS3 power supply is universal, does that means it does not matter if I buy 110V or 220V?
*
yes ... in malaysia 220V, ps3 power supply on the other hand is universal 110-220V

its just the socket is different... just get another power cable/adapter

What's the difference beside warranty?? how long the duration of claiming the warranty from Msia Sony compare to Sg. Sony. Besides its well known that ps3 slim so far has no issue at all right? so nothing to worry about?

Thanks for the reply. I am planning to buy PS3 220V Hong Kong version from Renchi site, which means it should be compatible with Blu-ray from Malaysia. Although, for now I only intend to play games with ps3, so blu-ray region doesn't matter much for me at the moment.

I tried to connect my PS3 to my PC using Crossover cable so that I can use its internet, but failed. Can anyone teach me in detail how to get it done?

I followed this thread's instruction but still fail. The IP Test failed and then I cant connect to the internet using the new setting. After I revert back to the original one, then can connect. I have posted for help in that thread but no response. Here is faster I suppose.

MY and SG set should be same, CECH-2006A. I really don't see any logic in getting SG unit when MY unit has same set of features.

it is cheaper because of the warranty la bro... MY set higher price, but can send immediately to SONY M'sia..
SG set a bit lower, but the warranty itself have to send to S'pore.. postage+wrapping+any other= 200.. maybe...

ala meaning to say singapore set is more worth it because you don't need to pay for the postage first. just in case when something happens then only you pay rm200. okay thanks for the feedback.

Actually the extra you paid for the MY set is solely for Sony to rip you off. SG sets do not have warranty in Malaysia, but they do in SG, so I can't see why SG sets are cheaper than MY sets other than ripping off. Of course if you ask is the extra RM200 worth it? Then of course it is for the warranty, but we are just paying extra RM200 for the same thing (and services) that people in SG are paying.
