QUOTE(vcxv @ Feb 19 2010, 08:44 PM) I thought georcuff is the next zidane? the second season syndrome is when you have an excellent / good first season. i don't think we can say that at all for SamirNasri was inconsistent this year. Probably the 2nd season syndrome the thing that frustrate me is that he has it in him to play the front 3 role better. we saw it during the FA Cup match against West Ham. he played the wide attacking role in the front 3 excellently in that match. beats the hell out of me why he did not do that more often though |

QUOTE(vcxv @ Feb 19 2010, 08:49 PM) i would love to see fabregas link with georcuff If Fabs leave then maybe, but with both of them together in the team one of them will suffer. Fabs despite recent mediocre form, has flourished in the advanced midfielder role which coincidentally is Gourcuff's position in Bordeaux.Added on February 19, 2010, 8:49 pmbut i guess its not quite possible QUOTE(super messi @ Feb 19 2010, 11:16 PM) Le Grove is well known for their whines and Wenger bashing. When we win, they are somewhat boastful; but when results doesn't go our way they conduct witchhunt and call for Wenger's head. Not a good blog although it is fairly well written. This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Feb 20 2010, 05:22 AM |

QUOTE(vcxv @ Feb 19 2010, 08:44 PM) I thought georcuff is the next zidane? I remember he is branded as the next Zidane when AW bought him. It kind of like how there been so many Next Maradona for Argentina. They like to compare a lot of these young player which look like he is playing very good to the likes of these legendary player. Like how some branded Walcott as the next Henry.Nasri was inconsistent this year. Probably the 2nd season syndrome |

GH also branded b.cheyrou as next zidane too last time ...but still, nasri still too young to reach zidane level as zidane at the age of 26 only start his peak form of life, after the france 98 ... |

yeap... lots of our players are still below 24 and still learning to cope with big games. for sunderland game, i'd like to see Nasri on a more deep role, playing alongside Song box-to-box. i think he'll do well and he played there a couple of times and did good.
lineup for this weekend? -manny- Sagna-Sol-Vermy-Clichy Song-Nasri -Cesc- Bendtner-Vela-Rosicky i do hope Vela will start. Why i put NB52 at right wing? he's the most effective coming in from the right side. as the game goes on, he can interchange with rosicky and vela and play a more central role. Sunderland have a good pair of CB. also, we have to watch out for Jones and Bent up front. I just hope Clichy and Sagna will stand their ground and do not venture forward too much. Jones is somewhat like Drogba. He can turn on the heat at any time. Bent is just like Rooney, very good positioning sense and killer finishing. Come on u gunners!!! |

Fabs despite recent mediocre form, has flourished in the advanced midfielder role which coincidentally is Gourcuff's position in Bordeaux. i think gourcuff has more speed, skill and lots of tricks than fab....but fab has more vision and intelligence..cant compare them..if fab would to leave us this summer...i hope that wenger use that money to get goucuff...Le Grove is well known for their whines and Wenger bashing. Not a good blog although it is fairly well written. well le grove is a blog that give credit where credit is due...when the team is winning they praise them...when they lose miserably like against chelsea or man utd..cant say that they are totally wrong..but sometimes they tend to go overboard...but still a fun read... |

Do you even think we can afford to sign gourcuff? He's the best player in bordeoux, and lotsa clubs are tracking him. But he could be a good replacement for fab, but i think Wenger would rather use the money and spend it wisely. Nasri to takeover Fabregas' role
