Wrong. AW will keep the money and give it to the board. Wondering where is our money from the sale of Adebayor.
25M is nothing when you consider that we have one of the highest wages in the league, our stadium debt, and the numerous contract extensions which we offered to keep the current team together.

do you guys think that wenger is stoping our players from doing tricks or running at defenders?(expressing themself)? wenger perfer them to just pass the ball around... i seems to feel that way...when i watch nasri when he was at OM he was running at defenders, doing tricks.....vela too...when he was at spain on loan at osasuna...he made sergio ramos look like a fool...
we got so many talented players but we can only field 11 players at a time.
i think our youth systm is all wrong...fab is only 22 years old..and he is considered the most senior of our players...and there are so many other young players behind him lining up to play...when will those youngster get to play??? the likes of JET(19 soon to be 20), lansbury(19 soon be 20), gibbs)20 soon 21),merida(19 soon to be 20), freeman(soon to be 18) ...just to name a few..but there are more...they are all brilliant...but how long they need to wait...fab is only 22..if he play for us until 30(hope so)...merida who is suppose to be replacing him will be 28...no player will wait that long to play in the 1st team...do you blame merida for wanting to leave us??so there is a problem in our system...we need to fix it...
You probably don't know Arsenal enough to realise that Arsene is a manager who encourages his players to enjoy their football and try whatever tricks they have. He is not Mourinho who instills strict roles to every single Chelsea player, or Rafa who stifles the exuberance of tricky players like Babel (the player mentioned it himself). The efficacy and results are debatable but it's not the point of discussion here.
Nasri's fame at Marseille, especially the new Zidane nickname, has been one of the reasons why people tend to put sky high expectations on him. He's still barely past his 20s, and has unfortunately suffered numeous injuries which prevented him from producing a consistent performance. I agree to an extent that he hasn't shown his potential nor has he been as effective as our previous wingers have (Freddie, Bobby, even Overmars), but he is no worse than Hleb and has age on his side to achieve more. Most players tend to look more attractive to watch in la Liga simply because the Spanish League encourages more technical play; whereas in EPL everything is more fast paced and physical. Vela simply hasn't got enough chances to prove his worth hence it's not fair to judge him yet.
The only gripe I have about our youth system is that it produces so many good players that we cannot accomodate all of them and some, if not most of them, will eventually leave. Not a true complaint I suppose, as I'd rather have more players whom we can sell off if they are unrequired, rather than have to spend money just to fill the numbers. We've let go of youngsters who were either impatient in their progress or simply lacks the cutting edge - Bentley, Pennant, Quincy, Justin Hoyte, Muamba, Jerome Thomas... not one of them can boast that they have better achievements as they did with Arsenal. It's understandable if Merida wants to leave, but him losing Arsenal would be more severe than Arsenal losing him.
Our youth policy started to garner attention after the dismantling of the unbeaten team and the rise of sugardaddy owners like Roman, but not many realise that this current team is only the beginning. The 'real' youth-based team will only start to emerge in the next 5 years as our current <20 year old teenagers start to march into their peak age. By that time we should have a team where the majority of players were playing together under the same system, same style, and hence same wavelength as each other; and hopefully all of them would have developed a sense of commoraderie and loyalty. Again it's hard to say whether this will bring success or not, but this is the ambition that many people, fans and pundits alike, do not realise.
