QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Feb 25 2010, 02:53 PM) Yeah, the fruit will become abit soggy after i defrost it. Thats y i'm worried about the soggy thingy. I should try put on the fridge. I put in the freezer at the first place because i scare the fruit's vitamins and nutrition will gone. Thanks eric & jitshiong. If putting chopped fruits into ice cube tray then pour some apple juice(unsweetened) to cover the fruits, freeze, I find that the fruits will be less soggy when defrosted. A good freezer-tupperware/bag will help too to prevent freezer burn on the prepared cubes. |

Guys, I almost got a heart attack today when I saw my babies lying upside down in their cages! Apparently, because of the hot weather, they finished all their water and was still too hot, so they slept like that to cool down... = = Has this ever happened to you before?

They are not from squirrels family, they're marsupials. They needs a whole different kind of care. |

Currently the most complete things/stuffs/nutrition to be found at PETSHACK, in Sunway Mentari. U can go and have a look. The Boss n Lady Boss are sugar glider owners themselves, not to mention a part-time staff and some volunteers too. Surely a heaven for gliders!!

QUOTE(nevermine @ Feb 25 2010, 08:49 PM) Hi all, im totally new with SG, but now im planning to have 1,since my pair of Chipmunks just left. 1. Your cage is not suitable for glider, and also not suitable for chipmunk too. Both of them need taller cage to sustain their high exercise level.before i get a SG,i have some questions, hope all SG lovers can help me out. 1.im wondering do my cage suitable for a SG? (previously for chipmunk, 56Lx30Wx32Hcm) 2. can i and my fren have different sex, then let them to have baby when they are adult? 3. from question2, is it advisable to buy both of them from the same parent? 4. where is the recommended place for me to choose my SG?or any available here? sry for many questions...but i will appreciate your reply, thx^^ 2) We don stud our gliders. As emino mentioned, both parents need to be there to take care of the babies. And If you separate the parents after they stay for some time, they will feel stress. 3) Of course not. Please do not try to do that. Out of your 4 questions, 2 of it are actually asking bout breeding. I hope you don intend to breed your gliders before you really study and research bout gliders. Please go stage by stage...first u nid to study and learn how to take care of sugar glider.. learn their basic needs, their characteristics and etc... then only start research bout glider breeding after u got all the basic glider keeping knowledge.. After that, only proceed to practise glider breeding when you r MENTALLY and FINANCIALLY ready... I am not sure what is the actual reasons that your chipmunks left.. death? escaped? But, i hope you understand, it's a huge responsibility to keep sugar gliders, and it's even BIGGER if you breed them. |

Then you should have explain to your grandma properly the impact and consequences..
I don see why you will need another 2 pair of gliders? Ur burden and responsibility will increased when u add in more gliders. |
