QUOTE(yueyi5730 @ Feb 8 2010, 10:41 PM) but we do not know if it's the maid fault...it's just assumption...still not good to accuse like that..did the glider die straight after the 3 days?why she blame the dead one was yours, the under age glider died or was it the one she adopted from u?I'm confused I think you need to go back, and read line by line. Jit Siong already explain it as clear as he can.anyway...we should care for all the gliders ourself..it's our responsibility as glider owner |

QUOTE(kemek @ Feb 25 2010, 10:55 AM) Thank you guys. As I mentioned before, I didn't buy it yet. Still searching and gain info from reading. My big problem is I don't have any freezer at the moment. To buy sliced fruit and veg everyday is very very costly. What am I trying to do now is to find another solution which doesn't hurt my wallet too much. Of course I want the best condition for it since I spend big amount of money for SG itself. I do read. You says if you dint have the money, can you compensate some balanced diet with something else.@emino : read before you post @eric138 : I realized the impact. Thanks for sharing your experience. Anyway im not rushing to get one. I've been in love with SG since 3 years before, but now just got offer from friend who want to migrate for futher study. I need freezer & do more research i guess The thing is, you should not say that at all. To keep a pet, you should always prepare yourself, whether if its in terms of knowledge, mental or financial. I have seen so many new faces comes in here, all excited about getting their glider then dumps them in the adoption thread or reselling it for various ridiculous reasons. Break up with gf lah, new gf dint like glider lah, budget lari lah, nak kawin lah... And so on and so forth. If you're well prepared, non of the above statement should affect your glider whatsoever. Unless of course when you said if you dont have enough money is when suddenly you went bankrupt or a fire burned down your house or a family member is gravely ill and you need to cover their medical bills, or something like that, when money is needed for more important thing, then yes, you can compensate the food with something else. If you have a tight budget, or know that you will be on one, then dont get a glider. or any pet at all. you need to give the best since you're responsible for their lives now. That includes their medication, food, habitat and so on. This post has been edited by emino: Feb 25 2010, 12:44 PM |

QUOTE(nevermine @ Feb 25 2010, 08:49 PM) Hi all, im totally new with SG, but now im planning to have 1,since my pair of Chipmunks just left. 1. no. read front page for cages suggestions.before i get a SG,i have some questions, hope all SG lovers can help me out. 1.im wondering do my cage suitable for a SG? (previously for chipmunk, 56Lx30Wx32Hcm) 2. can i and my fren have different sex, then let them to have baby when they are adult? 3. from question2, is it advisable to buy both of them from the same parent? 4. where is the recommended place for me to choose my SG?or any available here? sry for many questions...but i will appreciate your reply, thx^^ 2. no. breeding 2 sugar gliders that stays separately are bad, since it will take both parents to raise the joey. 3. no. inbreeding is always bad. 4. i would suggest you bulk up on glider knowledge because you dint seem like you know a thing about them. They are not from squirrels family, they're marsupials. They needs a whole different kind of care. |

glider is not dogs. they don't really respond to names.
they usually responds to voice though. unfamiliar voices will make them stay inside pouch while familiar ones will make they turn your way. |

As Eric said before, they will usually go to the place where they can smell something familiar. Usually their owner's smell. |

Taing care of gliders is a long term commitment. You need to remember they lves up to 10-15 years.

All three animals, particularly ferrets has strange and unique odor. So if your dad has 'sensitive nose' for just hamsters then just forget about it

QUOTE(Azazel @ Apr 28 2010, 06:03 PM) Does anybody here like leopard geckos? I am considering a trade for a pair of established (or weaned; is that how you people call it?) joeys. This pair will be a gift to my three year old son. Sugar glider are not suitable for kids, especially one with the age of three. Their claws are quite sharp, they bites and its really quite unhygienic for a kid that age since gliders poo and pee on you like nobody's business.Do let me know just incase anybody is interested alright. PM me! Thanks. Added on April 28, 2010, 6:04 pmMy email is firdaus@thegeckoshop.com. Thanks This post has been edited by emino: Apr 28 2010, 06:43 PM |

thats not potty training. thats letting it pee before playing with it.
potty training is the glider itself will go to the dedicated toilet when they need to pee or poo. |
