for reflex xtr i can master the hovering in 2 days ... less than an hour each day.
Then switched to rf, cant hover then, this time takes more time to hover nicely ....

Hmmmm, I think I found my most comfortable way to control the stick. 1 of the Tx I have allowed me to adjust the length of the stick and I feel more easy to make it the shortest and control the stick with my thumbs only .... wahahhahahaha
But now the problem is the BCPV2 Tx stick length is not adjustable .... mad.gif ... maybe is time to buy Rx already hmm.gif

QiW, I remember you said not to use Tx for sim because it will shorten the Tx life span? Did you? Or something like that?

if u use a cheap TX then it WILL shorten the lifespan of the potential meter in the TX ... i read that in some orang putih forum
as in my ESKY 0404 TX ... now the potential meter gila gila abit when i use it for SIM .. have to whack the sticks abit to make it work nicely
imagine IF u use that TX for your real rc heli .. straight into the ground liau .. hahahahahaaa

but better TX with better quality potential meter should last quite a long time laa .. should be ok i think .. i use ESKY TX for my SIM coz i dont have any adapters for my flying TX to be used in the SIM .. hahahahahaa

Darn..does that mean i would shorten the lifespan of my esky 0404?

Awww!

Also the problem using the Tx is it drains the battery man, everynight i have to recharge!

Hmmm. Should i buy the usb powered Tx?

If talking about the pot, I remember that I have seen a solution to this. Basically the cheapo Tx using cheapo pot with need you to clean the pot from time to time. Once you cleaned up the pot surface then it will be in good condition again. Can't remember where I saw this but I will try to post a link once I found it again.

hehehe, this morning finished a pack of battery for practicing hovering. Still as usual the heli drift to the left and just lifting up a foot only. It's really recommended to use training kit although it may slow you down. But without training kit you would have to be good in repairing the heli and with a deep pocket for kissing the ground ..... tongue.gif

aiyak, slapshock i think your post has been moved in MRC forum. My new topic over there also closed and locked.

I don't have much information for you to suck because I am sucking from QiW and Cliffang as well .... wahahahhahahahhaha

I have 6CH CCPM heli but it is very difficult for beginner because you have to know to setup it up properly, then you also need to fly it properly also. As I said, I am so slow in progress and now I just learn to lift up the heli a bit to feel the reflex. I have this heli for more than a month. So far I have crashed it 2 times.

This morning also almost crash it but fortunately i pull down the throttle as fast as I can then protected by the training kit as well. Hehehehhe, compensated the cyclic too much and the head want to langgar tanah.

my current heli is only the TREX 450 PRO ..
my ex helis .. walkera 4g3 esky king2 compy300 guruZ xeon
now PLANES in trend for me .. tongue.gif

my esky 0404 radio is powered by a LAMA LIPO batt ... hehehehe
i modded it la of coz .. now 2-3 weeks charge once only
if keep using 8AA batt pokai lorrr ... unless u using rechargeable AAs laaa

daddoo ... i got a tip for u to get rid of the fear of lifting the heli off the ground ... thats the way i did it .. hehehehee
take the 4g6 to big open space (indoors if possible like badminton court etc) dont think about it ... just give it alot of throttle until it goes to about your head height
chances are u will prolly be able to hover it for 5secs or so then u will crash (hopefully not) ... but do that a few times and your fear of leaving the ground will lessen significantly
if u worried about breaking the heli then take it out to a grass field and do it .. 4g6 prolly will not break anything if crash in the grass ... just make sure almost no wind laa
if u wanna attempt this with BCP .. then will be much more frightening coz bigger etc etc

good luck !!!

Yeap, the feeling of fear and I think my heli is not ready also. Just tried to adjust my left side of the swashplate higher (aileron servo side) and want to try again later, see if it is still always drifting to left or not ..... suspecting that it may not be the ground effect problem as it may be my swashplate is not levelled.

Qiw, do you think i need to wait for training kit for my 4G6 as well? This is my plan actually, I will use my 4g6 with training kit to help me more later ...... but still quite worry .... wahahhahahahahha

hard luck. i however am ok with flying in small room, i like to fly it on top of my bed. just hover around within the bed area. that way, crashes won't have much effect.

my panic point is when the heli is above my eye level or in different orientation. well, that's what you get for being a combat heli sim game junkie for so along. sometimes i just control it like i would in a game (3rd person perspective) laugh.gif

Tx drain batt fast cause you also on the radio signal, if branded TX, radio signal will be off, since once you plug in the jack, Tx will be on by itself (switch at OFF position), as QiW said, mod to lipo pack will last longer too..

Practive your BCPv2 kao kao la.. then 3D with your 4G6.. so you won't need the training gear for it. icon_idea.gif laugh.gif brows.gif

BCP swash plate doesn't travel at same height all the time... it's time to get a new, better, programmable TX...

so sorry .. i dunno what is the feeling like with training kit coz i never used b4
the 4g6 is small and has much lesser momentum .. it prolly will not break as many parts as a BCP when u crash depending on how u crash laaa
only thing is it is oso much more sensitive and faster compared with BCP

newer, better and programmable tx than Esky one I have lah icon_rolleyes.gif hehehhe just lack of a receiver only .......
you are right, the swash plate always not balance .... but just changing the tx without changing the servo can still solving the problem?

if you never used before then which heli so poor and let you whacked it a lot? sweat.gif

Honestly, the training kit is a must for new people like me and at least it saved me from crashing for 2,3 times already.
From here, I can see that there are some advantages to learn with 4G6 first compare to BCPV2. First the damage of crashing is milder. Second you can hover bigger heli better once you can hover 4G6. Third, battery of 4G6 is cheaper and faster to charge up.

My BCPV2 battery took 7 hours to fully charge today because the Lipo was only 10.9V before charging. It takes about an hour to charge up 0.2V from the stock charger so with fully charge of around 12.4V, that's the time you have to wait. While my 4G6 only take less than 2 hours to charge up. Usually it can be done around an hour.

Hey .... anyone of you buy parts from chinesejade before? comment?

the heli that i did that with was the 4G3 ... durable little heli
whack whack whack ... minor ones la of coz .. only feathering shaft bengkok but still flyable ... and i got lots of batts(7) so i have alot of flying time without having to wait so long to charge .. and i oso made my own charge cable to charge those batts with my normal lipo charger not the stock walkera charger (i can charge 3 batts in 40mins)
