yippie, I manage to keep T-Rex 450 (sim one lah tongue.gif) in the air now without crashing, but still once in a while it will go from left to right, then right to left again ... flying around .... don't know if this could help to lift my real heli up or not ......

Did some swashplate levelling this noon and found BCPV2 swashplate will level only when neutral hov.pit and throttle stick at lowest, or most negative hov.pit and middle throttle stick. The rest the swashplate will lean forward or backward.

the swashplate is supposed to be level wherever the throttle position (up high or down low) .. it is only supposed to be moving (left right front or back) when u have cyclic input (aileron and/or elevator)
in this case .. if it is level at certain position but not level at some position means the cyclic servos are not moving in unison

how long are u keeping the trex450 in the air without crashing in the SIM ??
if u can keep it in CONTROL for more than 1min means u SHOULD be able to hover a real heli already laa .. hehehehe

BCP have such problem of swash lean to one side when pitch increase....
Mine last time lean to front, which i have to set the Ele servo to 'program mix"... but daddoo... sadly esky TX can't do that...

You can try the "Hover" training in the sim.....

But weird lah, din change anything and don't know why like this. Is there a way to correct this servo problem ar?

I can keep it in the air as long as I can now. Hopefully I can hover my real one ..... and MAYBE I can biggrin.gif

Hmmm, it is only leaning forward and backward for my case when I move the throttle stick up and down.
If I can only use my Esky Tx, would it be dangerous to hover my BCPV2 with this problem?

I have tried the Hover Training and no problem to control now .... can hover as long as I can ......

Just remember something from the manual, there are some graphs there
For Normal mode, when 0% throttle -> 0 degree pitch curve. 100% throttle -> 7 degree pitch curve.
For Idle up, when 0% throttle -> -7 degree pitch curve. 50% then 0 degree and 100% then 7 degree.

then time to fix and set up the heli and try to get it in the air again maybe ?? hehehehe
the manual is not wrong .. in idle up zero degrees at 50% or midstick
but most would recommend abit of negative (maybe 2-3 degrees) in normal mode for minimum stick so u can control it better in the wind ... but all is up to personal preference lorr

don't know yet whether it can be fixed with all the stock parts ...... maybe whack more sim first and try lifting up the heli next weekend .....

If I remember correctly, the -ve pitch in normal mode can be done also, just rotate the hov.pit pot and I can go to -ve pitch when moving throttle stick.

It looks like BCP is something different already where yours heli will just move the swashplate up and down (levelled at the time) when you move throttle up and down ......

But.... if you are able to control it... wouldn't be hard then...

When the time the heli going to lift off... it would go which ever directions that the wind blow... so already have to input directions...

So now you know that the swash will lean Foward/ backward... at least when the moment it lift off... input some stick action to counter it~

Won't be needing too much -ve pitch yet as you are flying or hover normally... maybe 0% @ -1, 50% @ +5, 100% @ >+7

You required many -ve pitch when you are going to do inverted hover or 3D~

I think the stock Tx would not allow you to set the pitch. As what I can read from the manual, it is already pre-programmed with 0% @ 0, 100% @ +7 for normal mode.

Another fallback for getting the cheapo heli tongue.gif

Ohhhhh, came across my mind suddenly. I cannot do something on the stock Tx but I can adjust the linkage ....... drool.gif

The problems comes from the design itself... as mechanical servo travel is not equal at 3 of the points...

Yes, you can adjust the linkage for pitch... but the problems of swash leanning forward/back during pitch travel will still occurs as the TX set all the 3 servo to travel at same.

nvm ... if and when u learn on hover on the BCP ... and if u decide to get another non esky heli then everything will be much easier
consider this a learning heli lorr .. hehehe

Yeap, that is what I always think. This is quite a reasonable entry level CP heli for newbie like me .........

Honestly, I get to know a lot of stuffs from this BCPV2 .......

Hehehehe, actually planned already. If nothing goes wrong, I will go and get the 4G6 with WK-2801 Pro Tx one.

After that will take months to save $$$$ again before next heli lah, now pk already.

Aiyaya, now only I know what went wrong with my swashplate lah. I am so idiot that interchange the ail & pitch connection at the receiver. Now switched back and the swashplate is levelled regardless of where the throttle position ..... !@)#*~!@($!@#(%$@)$%(

I guess my first crash was due to that as I was moving the throttle stick upward (which it was actually moving the elevator with more motor spin) then suddenly the ball link came out and causes the blade to hit the tail boom.

ball link came out by itself ??
new heli worr ...
ball links normally go in ONE DIRECTION .. look properly if u put it in the correct direction .. if u plug and unplug a few times in the wrong direction u may have loosened the ball link (one side bigger than other side diameter)

i still have not gotten used to flying heli with the 8FG yet laa .. heli flying now jerky and not smooth control and not confident oso .. hahaha

I guess lah. With the wrong pitch and ail connections, the swashplate is actually lean forward as long as the throttle stick is pushing up, when the headspeed increase to a certain level, maybe this ball link plug being pushed out by the swashplate rotation force ...... maybe ..... else I can't explain why it crashes last time because I did not see that the blade hit something.

Finally, now the swashplate is levelling better when I move the throttle stick. Gonna whack the sim now and hopefully I can get my baby in the air this weekend.

Just done with some training in sim, hehehehh ... now learning to do inverted hovering .... can control quite ok so sifu-sifu, i should be able to hover my real heli better, right? But I really scare to crash the heli although I just want to do a normal hovering rclxub.gif

There is a guy on youtube hover his BCPV2 in living room but the area is very small only.

And my last crash I tried to lift my BCPV2 in sleeping room biggrin.gif ......
