What the current education level you're in? Diploma in engineering?
If so, you prefer IPTA or IPTS?

quo vadis (Where are you going?). You may search through google for my name translation.

IPTA
- USM http://mechanical.eng.usm.my
- UTM http://web1.fkm.utm.my

Both are low cost in academic fee and best quality. Both are accredited by BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).

There's a band with the same name, thought you knew it.
USM and UTM, two of the best? Well, thanks, I appreciate it.

It's up to your preferences of which is the best. smile.gif
By ranking is USM. By my preference, also USM.
You can choose which is nearer to you.
Both degree have very high demand after you grad.

Well anywhere would be fine with me, as long as is accredited. USM would be the closest to me, though i don't mind about the distance. Yeah good thing it's engineering, better chance to land a job. So are you a student too? Or already have a career?

I'm entrepreneur, no salary. sad.gif
As for engineer salary, about 2.9k during I work last time. I forgot 2.4k or 2.5k is my starting pay.
Then less than 1 year increment to 2.9k not included bonuses yet.
My juniors starting pay as RM5k. I think because of different field.

You only need one job. Why you need to worry?

I mean theres alot of mech graduates and the jobs are so little, wouldnt it be a problem later? Im about to finish my mech eng diploma now and now im in dilemma wether to continue to degree or change to different field like accounting. I already 'no heart' studying engineering course because the math is just too much for me, so im wondering should i endure another 3 years of engineering or not. Now that i see mech eng jobs is lesser i started worry alot. Advice needed

There are no problems as usual, engineering always about survival of the fittest.
If unable to fight for a mech engineering job, then you have to change to other engineering jobs, banking, etc etc.
There are a lot of other jobs out there. Jobs and chances not wait for you, you have to take initiative to grab the chances.

If you already have no interest in engineering because of the math. I would suggest you look for other courses.
There is no reason for you to endure 3 years for something you don't like. Look for what you like.
Since you will never good in engineering if you don't like it.
Only those like engineering can easily get a job, and outperform.

If you really like engineering, you don't care about the obstacles that math is too much for you.
You will feel motivated and excited about engineering, like design, solidworks, machining, etc etc if love engineering.

Hi, just wondering if chemical engineering is a risky line to venture into. Thinking of pursuing a degree in chem engineering but my father was saying that most chem engineers he meets. They would encourage not to go into it as it's hard to find jobs and such. Please do advice. Thanks!

Very good since you will utilize a lot of thinking of engineering there.
Oracle SQL, you write application for support? Or helping production line get their data by query for them?
Some production support are data crunchers. brows.gif

Chemical engineering highest population are females.
A lot engineering fields are high risk. Not all, you can choose to work in the more office job after you grad.
Such as banking, semiconductor fields, etc.
From my opinion, engineering is very easy to get a job. There are a lot of jobs related to chemical engineering.
Such as O&G, semicon, process, solar etc etc..

Hmmm, Im still not familiar with those terms. rclxub.gif

I do more on maintaining and enhancing the integration of systems. EAI.
I do a lot of digital investigation, and sometimes just too much of error clearing. blink.gif
