if possible, for slim version, try to avoid the SCPH-70006 ..its bc if the seller didnt mod it correctly .. your PS2 may die very soon .. .. but unfortunately that's what we have around here lol ... i wonder why our market still sell that version .. its v12 .. we now have v13 and v14 ... damn Sony dumping our market with old versions ...

Grab the japanese unit then! it's not like the japanese gona line up for xb360...plus not many j games at launch also.
Just that the games are more expensive...still, better of long term investment than US unit. (later can buy singapore xb360 games)

Nope..you buy NTsc/J machine you can't play ntsc/uc games unless that game is region free (some only like xbox title is halo 2)
All asian machine & games are ntsc/j. Australia...pal.

I buy ori for the fisrt time then kena already..luckily i mod my xbox to ntsc/j later.

hmm..i think my modded xbox machine is a ntsc/j box - maybe not..balik kena check - but i can play all my ntsc/uc ori xbox games..no problem...mungkin the mod chip?

Anyway once your xbox is modded...it could be any region, you cna mod it to ntsc/j, ntsc/uc, pal...

If your xbox can play ntsc/uc games maybe it's region free games also. Some games written let say ntsc/j but it could be region free.
Also if you play ori games with modchip on...region is not important anymore, it can run any game.

Is it worth to buy PS2 through installment scheme? I found I shop selling PS2 for RM49 monthly installment from some credit company I think AEON. Installment maybe for 18 month. The PS2 come with 2 console and 10 games. Didn't check out the real model is. Also didnt know if the game has been moded yet. Advice anyone??
