u said ur ps2 "die"after 2 and half year?
mind to share how u play ur ps2 often? everyday play ?hardcore games user?

yea, it died earlier.. even tho my friend plays his ps2 almost non-stop..
for about 4 years.. stil alive..

i play often.. twice or once a day.. 1-2 hours.. nop.. not that hardcore..

but my friend's ps2.. boot once a day.. rarely close down his ps2..
bcoz his ps2 hardly read the disk.. after hundred of attemps.. got it playing
then he finishes A game without turning it off.. he just finished okami for 48 hours..
dat means.. 48 hours non stop.. he's hardcore.. but last longer than mine..
even tho his ps2 hav been abused hudreds of times.. i dunu why his ps2's stil
kicking.. i think his mod-chip is damaged.. not his lense.. bcoz
he can boot original games easy.. while *coff* one.. needs several attemps..
several as.. hundreds.. or thousands of attemps as in restarting over'n'over again..
until it recognizes the disc..

and actually mine didnt died just yet.. stil functional.. can play ps1 games only ATM

I think Xbox is more durable than PS2.......i forgot to switch off my Xbox console for 24 hours.......s**t. ......it still working......

yes, maybe at sumthing.. but, from my expirience the ps2 is more durable..
24 hours? dats normal le.. me n friend play games with his ps2 over a week..
no prob..

Myps2 for 4.7 years already...hehhe..accidentally kicked so many ties when try to jump over....still perfect cond.....and also im a nomad gamer..ring it if go outstation......

I just keep my old Xbox in the box......
