Im will become a new owner of PSP..=.="
i will buy a psp in the middle of this month..
currently im doing a price survey at Sungei Wang..
from the survey..The modified psp 3000 price ranged from ridiculously RM 1150 (from an Indian with some foreign worker at lvl 2) and doubtfully RM 910 from a guy at lvl 1 ...
So.. i need help, advice and suggestion from all u guys!!! please help!!

How suppose the price cost??
Which shop that sell better equipment?? (mean those ori 1)
What should i do when i buy a brand new PSP from many scary shop at Sungei Wang or Low Yat?? (already read the 1st tread)
Im getting a goosebumps when i read many ppl got scammed when buy thing like this..

any of u guys know where to find the 2k psp???

Hello guys..
i'm asking a question here for the sake of my friend..
friend "A" wan to upgrade his PSP firmware 3.71 M33-4, to the same firmware version with friend "B"
which is version 5.50 GEN-03..
why friend "A" wan to upgrade? becoz he cant play some games which friend "B" can play smoothly.
how does he mean by cant play? everytime he start the games, the screen will go blank@shutdown(he said so)..

so..is upgrading the version is a good move for friend "A" ?
will it able to upgrade from 3.71 M33-4 -> 5.50 GEN-03?

actually you have two choices, whether from 3.71 M33-4 to 5.00 M33-6, or from 3.71 M33-4 to 5.50 GEN-03,

3.71 M33 -4 and 5.00 M33-6 are the same developer (Dark_AleX), me using it, and i able to play all the latest games, so no need to worry if you want to upgrade to 5.00 M33-6..but before you play the latest games, you need to check it 1st whether the games is supported for 5.00 M33-6, if not, you cannot play the games...because the latest games need to encrypt 1st before can play for cfw 5.00 M33-6...

3.71 M33-4 to 5.50 GEN-03, if you dont want to headache and worried cannot play games and etc2...this is the right choice, all the latest games are supported for this 5.50 GEN-03..

i choose 5.00 M33-6 because i am using plugins for my psp, such as cwcheat, cxmb and etc..and its cannot support for 5.50 GEN-03, that is why im still using it...

nope. plugins such as cwcheat, cxmb, and the latest ultimate vshmenu final does works flawlessly in 5.50GEN-D3.

So..it is safe for my friend to upgrade it? with the method on the link that i've posted above?

i know about that, because of the plugins i using since cfw 5.00 m33 and only compatible with 5.00, so that is why i dont want to change it to 5.50GEN-D3...hehe..

yeah its safe, a lot of tutorial you can find in youtube if you want to upgrade by yourself..

Bt this wil b my 1st time to upgrade psp,somemore it wasnt mine, haha.. Plus I heard alot of rumours that psp is quite sensitive, wrong move, bye2.. Thats y I m asking for opinion frm experts here..haha

yes thats right, but if i were you, better watch the video on youtube, at the 1st time i upgrade my cfw myself i watch tutorial on youtube....hehe..and its works...

cannot fit, you need to buy sticker for psp1000....unless you want cut here and there to fit to your psp1000..

yeah, people choose 5.50 GEN-D3, mostly want to play online...but if you doesnt bother to play online like me, 5.00 M33-6 its suitable for you...

DONE! i've upgraded the PSP..
first i'm using the method that i've posted earlier, Hellcat recovery, it does upgraded to version 5.50 GEN-D3..
but yet, the problem appear, couldnt play game, i tried with at least 4 games, same error message,
"This Program Could Not Starterd" with some error code but forgot what it is (any idea why this problem appear? )

ok, how did i fix it? take Friend "B" memory card, insert into friend "A" PSP,
re-flash(is that what you call it? ) it with the flasher(the 1 that the technician left inside the MS last time),
the flasher name should be some kind of Yoshihiro XGEN 5.50 blablabla updater.
then problem FIXED! Friend "A" is enjoying his PSP now!

@choy89, u know what. u don't have to re-flash. just change setting in vsh menu. that's all.
