No. It's just my plan only. PSF hasn't closed yet.

PSF is the eldest brother of all the other siblings.
Its name is quite good smelling, since this fund existed for like 30 years.

Maybe when someone buy 700-800 million unit of PSF, this fund can close as well.. Haha.
I think the performance for this fund is quite good. It is similar to PEF actually, but less volatile than PEF.

During 2008 crisis, PSF return is -28.32%, but PEF hammered down by -41.53%.. (Difference, PEF 13% lower)
And on 2009, PSF return in 43.90% while PEF did a better come back at 58.52%. (Difference, PEF 15% higher)

Between PSF and PEF, PEF die also die faster. Come back also come back stronger. Haha.

P smallcap fund price shrinking again, drop below Rm0.90, I remember when it was open for subsription last month, the price was like above rm0.95

Yes. It is indeed dropping like no tomorrow. Most of PM funds are underperforming this season.

Except for it's bond and fixed income funds which is doing quite good.

Yeah normally bond and fixed funds are more stable. P smallcap is the best mid cap fund in Malaysia (3 & 5 years. not sure whether got 10 years or not). Can even compete with top equity fund like AMB value trust. So have a little faith on it together we sink, together we rise

why not just buy the best AMB value trust?

i have been wondering, since now public ittikal is no longer available for subscription, what other islamic fund is good for epf investment? ittikal is moderate risk so i dont mind investing in it. moreover, its performance is good. other funds look kind of aggresive and im afraid that if i were to invest in them, and market falls, my epf money gone like the wind..~~

Perhaps try out Public Balanced Fund or Dividend Select Fund?

I wonder why public mutual always got fund close for investment .
For the current situation as pricing is lower, is good to top up more units in, but due to fund
was closed, investor have also loss the chance for top up.
Wonder for those whom sold out the units, then the available units just left it there seems it not open for everyone
to invest ?

Because the two funds are different category. But not so sure why this time psmallcap underperforms since it reopen 2 months ago. Oversubcribed maybe?

Then how come my agent still ask me to invest few hundred ringgit every month? If one day the fund size has exceeded the SC approved and the fund I used to invest closed already, meaning I can't even top up? Then what's the purpose I invest in a fund?

eventhugh the fund is closed , fund manager still reserve some units for DDI or monthly regular investor.

Direct Debit Instruction or SI - Standing Instruction. if u sign up to top up ur investment through bank on monthly basic. u need to bank-in the money and the money will auto transfered to ur UT investment acc to buy the units.

ur top up units/ current stament will post to ur mailing address.
