Searched Castrol website, all their top range or Fully Synthetic oil are 40.
My wild guess is viscosity 30 may not suitable for Malaysia hot Climate. In Korea maybe yes bcos of thier cold climate.
So, 40 should be suitable for use.

http://www.castrol.com/castrol/multiplepro...ntentId=6008246

My conclusion is higher viscosity = better protection to car engine = (-)more fuel consumption =(-)engine feel heavier
lower viscosity = better performance = less fuel consumption= (-)increase engine wear and tear rate

extended info guys..

I am using Shell Ron95, thrid tanks dy and not very good result ... i am going to try Mobil for another next 3 tanks and will update you guys accordingly.

BTW, i think its good to record down the average speed also as it reflects the traffic condition nod.gif

just talked to my dealer and he said no guarantee that i can get my car in the coming week..
if this is the case, my car will be lying at my dealer's place for 2 weeks..
guess i have to put sum pressure thru careline..

What actually causing the delay since the car is already at the dealer place? They want to use it as show unit first? Better call careline and get it asap lo.

Spot the poisons tongue.gif ...

1. Installed the mud guard this morning, got it done by an installer cos do not have the tool to DIY. Just now it was raining in Penang and the mud guard really did a great job thumbup.gif
2. No need to mention the Original Forte wheel caps biggrin.gif
3. This might be too small to see ... the Kia tyre air valve cap tongue.gif ... Cos the stock one can cover only about 60% and this one can cover up to 95% (for some wheels) and it has a rubber inside to prevent the air from leaking. I got it here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT ... as for the quality, dont expect the sticker to last forever cos the Kia sticker on the key chain was kind of dirty and i was trying to rub it with my thumb and guess what, it came off doh.gif
4. mmm not really a mod, but got it waxed with anti-static coating (really wish can Glow in Penang, but too bad none here sad.gif) and now looks really shinny smile.gif

Going to get the tools and try to DIY the two level armrest tomorrow to complete my mod before the sharkfin antenna, which should be my final mod at the moment icon_rolleyes.gif

I am also using Shell Ron95 due to i am using Shell Credit card(2.5% rebate) and it is convennient to me compare to Caltex/BHP/Esso but i feel that it is less "power" compare to my first tank, BHP95 which fueled by SA in my first tant.

4te, appreciate that if u can update ur fuel stat for diff brand.

Checked my tyre pressure for the first time and indeed the dealer put it at 38Psi instead of the recommended 32.

After dropping it to 32, Cera now sticks more to the road and the steering feels heavier like the Civic. The ride is more comfortable now, but the downside is the car feels less zippy compared to before although I can get used to it.

Is better to check with the branch or dealer you book with .. some might have stock or allocation eg. Ampang branch

else if follow sequence might need to wait in between 1 -3 months

FYI some of us who had book before launch have yet to get their car

2) AutoFoam C pillar treatment.

3) Rear parcel shelf treatment.
A special Double-Layer treatment with award winning European SP material.
the Cure for Resonance and Drone. Simple test..be a back passenger for 5 mins.

Total weight here is 1kg !!!

guys i did this in preparation for upgrading audio system later on not really to address tire noise as mine is ok. if u are on 17in and have heavy drone noise this is an option. bear in mind once u got lesser noise from the back the front will sound louder. my back road noise is very low now so some of u can try during tt before i continue more areas like doors & front.
