QUOTE(andreslck @ Feb 4 2010, 09:23 AM)
KIA MALAYSIA The early bird price being offered now is extremely low compared to other makes. The realistic price for 1.6SX would be somewhere around RM107k.

You may see minor price increases due to increases from the principal, added on options and other factors.

Kia has gone from being a 'cheap brand' to becoming a global player, even supplying engine technology (the Theta 2.0L) to Mitsubishi! ... See more

Our bodies are mostly high tensile steel, 4 or 5 star NCAP rated, with very high fit and finish quality. Even the hidden areas now have gloss finish paint, which was not there before.

Previously customers complained that Kia vehicles came in expensive and then got discounted down. Now the products come in low and progressively increase in tandem with improvements in SSI and CSI, as do many other products.

Looks like a big hinting for the price hike.. and surprisingly inline with what our Mr Rich is stating in his encrypted messages. I wonder what is the added on options... 5 speeds Manual will be great thumbup.gif

actually Mitsubishi-Chrysler-Hyundai-Kia are the companies involved in the GEMA engine development... Hyundai-Kia don't supply to Mitsubishi... Mitsubishi is also one of the owners of this engine...

ToyToy,

I have already wanted to reply the first time you mentioned this. Since you repeated it, The 407 seems likes what suitable for you  sweat.gif besides the Forte.
*
Hi bbear, thanks for the suggestion.

Yes the 407 is very suitable for me and wifey. Really a very very good car with lots of safety features, and gadgets. Only problem would be the price hehe.

I test drove it again last weekend and the interest rate is super low at 1.75% for 5 yrs. But then 136k is still a bit too much sad.gif

Anyway i've locked on to Forte, it's such a nice car with so many good reviews. Just hope i can get it within next 1-2 months without price increase then i thank sky thank earth liao hehe.

Well, if City 1.5L is priced at 90k... 1.6L with so much goodies, realistically will be selling that price if it is a T, H & N.. right ? Think on the bright side, Kia's car resell value finally going up up up sweat.gif

But Mitsubhishi pay USD 50 milion loyalty fees to Hyunda-KIA for the GEMA engine.. Look like very big portion of GEMA engine is contribute by Hyundai-KIA

I've made a call to HQ to complain about KM
apparently he's a senior person there therefore
its best he buck up else he'll be creating animosity against KIA brand
in this case one does not need outside enemies to shoot oneself...

one advise for this senior person

Hi Bro,
Mind to share? Is this a ORIGINAL KIA Emblem in original packing? How come it looks so different where no 3M sticker and no hologram sticker at the back too?

QUOTE(kiaforteclub @ Feb 4 2010, 09:00 AM)
Finally got my KIA emblems from Kinrara SC. Ordered from there and they are nice enough to remove the Naza ones for me.
I have not put in the new emblems yet cause I need to convert them to RED hahaha Type-K look.

I agree with you fully. I doubt our car resale value would increase just because he says so. Just look at Hyundai I30 at RM92k for 1.6 and there is no excitement by Malaysians.

this from nazakia parts dept mfg date 24/11/2009
front with 4 legs for clip on grille no need 3M tape
back is with 2 pin legs with 3M tape.
black is high gloss finish looks molded in with black extrusion behind emblem.
all angles are precise and sharp no flashes therefore good quality in my opinion.

the GEMA engine is a joint venture product 3 parties involved but Mitsu left this project recently hence if they still want to use Gema in the Lancer they have to pay something. one problem it this engine is Mitsu use plastic(composite) fuel rail which is prone to leaks when engine revs at certain frequency may cause fire recalls in US. But C&C SG also knows about this matter. Kia mod this to aluminum rail like we have on 1.6.

Klang Valley stockyard is in Rawang all SA have to go there to get your car out & drive to showroom then u come collect.
by wednesday next week all cars would already be in their local yard so no worries. only JPJ or Puspakom will be jammed with ppl wanting to get cars before CNY - and at this time always offline system rosak or other lame excuses. this is to make sure got kopi to drink mah....

KFC,

The mail may not helps me but may helps other poor souls out there whom are potential Forte owner. At least a feedback .. whether they take it as constructive feedback or just ignore is another story. Btw, I already sent my mail tongue.gif

Just talked to the staff in the branch, the HQ still has not allocate the cars, even the branch manager is piss off with them.
I can trust this manager when I booked my car at the beginning of Jan, he sincerely said that the delivery only before CNY. I think now he's under tremendous pressure to keep his promises to the customers.
Blame only the Naza mannagement and those SA who over promised just want to get sale.
I am keeping my finger cross that the car can be deliver before CNY.
Don't worry, enjoy the CNY first, then the Forte.
