Naza Forte really made all the forte lovers down.....including me.
I'm also booked Forte on 27-28 Nov and dreaming to get the car on Jan 10... But Naza had failed me... Although i still love Forte alot, but i have to chance my decision to other car.
End result i bought 308.... got the car within 2weeks and solid build and comfort level are better than the sushi and same segment car.... But need to bear slightly higher maintenance compare with City.....

Actually my doggy wan to marry a wife call forte de last week.. forter's dad promise this monday sure can get marry with my doggy. everything done ady,pay everything promise everything,but suddenly forter is hilang my doggy so fierce now...wan to sue the dad for cheating him. But actually i duno whether actually the dad ady knew forter will disapear or so happen this monday oni mr bn kidnaped forter for discussion. If the dad knew it earlier but still agree to marry with my doggy, then i can sure the dad ady for conning me...zzzz

Hi guys, I'm planning to book a Forte over the next few days, getting the 1.6 SX.

Anyway, just have a couple of questions:

1) What 'freebies' did you guys get when you booked your car? I know some got a full tank of fuel, others got tinting voucher. I know there was the gift pack for 500 customers. Anything else?

2) Is there anything else that I need to know? I haven't been following this thread for a while, so any new developments will be very appreciated.

Perry why don't you take up the offer to downgrade to 1.6? Afterall there is some risk booking the 2.0 as none of us have tested the car. To be frank after testing the Avante 2.0 I felt the engine wasn't that powerful. Please correct me if I am wrong although I believe the Forte's engine is slightly more powerful than Avante.

I suppose everybody should wait till Friday and see what happens especially to all those who has booked the 1.6. I believe those who booked 1.6 may have a good chance of getting their cars judging from comments made that they have seen trailers of forte.

The 2.0 is probably not here as I called Kia HQ today. You can try calling them tomorrow as Careline has allocated someone to be in charge of 2.0 and collaborate what I just said.

forte 2.0 is 156hp and it is 1hp higher than 2.0 civic.

Although this has no meaning and I can't say it's more powerful than civic but I've test driven both avante and civic and avante is nowhere near civic.

Hey guys, for "Powerful", you should look at the Torque and also the RPM with max torque. 2 very good examples for good torque ( Torque helps you to gain speed, move your cars ) are the 308 Turbo and the Sylphy. Their low end torque is pretty good and does not need you to rev up to madness RPM to gain the momentum.

If you comparing only HP, that will only helps if you want to achieve maximum speed...

Mazda 3 is 140bhp and it's more powerful. Different torque I think. Wat I meant was after test driven 1.6 forte I m sure 2.0 won't be as bad as avante.

I do suggest you to just go and test drive the 308 Turbo .. even just for fun, to feel the Uuuuuumph

As you can see from above, Forte 2.0SX actually has very very good Torque to moves a car.... especially the Weight of the car is not too heavy. Imagine, the 407 is having 200Nm but the weight of the chassis is so much heavier.

That was what my SA told me last week. I already mentioned in yesterday post. He and branch manager kept saying can get car before CNY.

I called him up this evening again, telling him that be realistic, one more week to go and car is not here.
He replied me, car registration is only 2 days, and said dun listen to what ppl say, take his word, car will be here b4 CNY definitely.

&...the sprint winner is Pug 308 THP..240Nm of peak torque from as low as 1400 rpm all the way to 4250 rpm & please keep in mind that this is only 1.6L car (with THP of course). If 308 THP is a normal sedan, i wouldn't thinking twice to own it

I've tested the 308THP b4, yes it's amazing, 240Nm @ 1400, pickup is powerful like crazy.

But as i've mentioned b4, it's for youngsters and not suitable as family car. Few years down the road wifey need to sit at back when pregnant. 308's backseat is not really that comfy hehe.

Anyway looking for family car now and Forte just fit in nicely at it's price point.

And i m a crazy driver, the more powerful the car is the more crazier i get. Used to drive a 20 yr old Toyota starlet and always floor the accelerator. Crazy shit, now old liao canot take it anymore hehe. Very dangerous.

Looking at the statistic above I m sure i m gonna love this 2.0 Forte.

I fell in love with Mazda 3 when i first test drove it. It was very responsive and torque is good. To think on paper Forte is 'better' than Mazda 3, really can't wait to drive it hehehe

Avante's troque seems high oso but i can't remember how 'powerful' it is. I can only remember how noisy the engine was, same as altis 1.8, what a letdown, when gear kicking back, the sound of engive rev / drag was same as my 1.5 wira aeroback.

After reading the list again, i've test driven all the cars except for vios and forte 2.0 and adding mazda 3 1.6 to the list
