Did you change together with the belting. Sometimes because the belting is already too old so it's hardened abeit and not fits well with new LCP.

just to share, i was planning to install the LCP and i took it back to penang to install after CNY, however i didn't hold it properly, it drop to the floor and it got a dent/ out of shape, heart pain man, rm330 gone. now use it as decorative item, still feel sad when i see it, haiz...

i have changed both belts a few months ago, i also experince the steel like sound like you are experiencing, if you have found a solution to it please share ya.

thanks sam for sharing

have u tried applying some belt dressing? It may be the newly minted surface of the crank pulley rubbing against ur belt.Dont overdo it though.

try polishing your side mirror. else, polishing the windscreen might help in some way.
else, you may need to sound proof all 4 doors at once! and check the triangle cover(with proton logo) at the rear windows if it loosened.
power window price is ok. but wiper linkage original proton cost cheaper at 150 bucks with installation while compatible only cost around 80 bucks with installation.

You get can the proton OEM wiper link at RM50 from spare part shop. I got mine at that price somewhere mid of last year. Installation is DIY biggrin.gif .
