yes, initially i plan to go for 16", but after seeing the rims and tyres available, i change my mind.
took me hours of thinking and much recommendations from my friend and the boss and i finally took the 17"
yes, stock spring and abs, i really know nuts about suspension, so i will monitor for awhile about suspension only change it. any recommendations for suspension guys?

hahaha.. same case with my 1st time change my rim.. hunting for 16" but at the shop got both good choices 16" and 17" but after quote the tyre price is only rm20 - rm30 difference.. i go for 17".. i've used to use stock suspension setup also.. but after 6 month cannot tahan the bad cornering.. if ur on budget i suggest go for sports abs + lowered springs.. if got big budget go for adjustable.. i change into lowered springs+stock abs.. after awhile the abs failing as its life span shorten by the spring..

woah... u need to lower laugh.gif
tein vs hwl.. alot of diff ar? how come suddenly looking for non adjustable. share ur experince since u used adjustable n non adjustable before. Im on IMP spring now. but abit too low. i was thinkin to get hi/lo adj but ppl say not worth it....

quite hard to find 205/15 .. how much u get urs ar?
*
my waja was riding on the entry level tein superstreet adjustable which is more of an all out assault on handling while the hwl comes with hi lo / soft hard. of the 2, i will said hwl give me a good handling while still be quite comfortable for a daily ride on soft option. needless to say, a friend offer me cost to cost price on hwl after using it for 6 months biggrin.gif
tested the tein on the way down from cameron highland. going 145km/h over the corner / winding road is a
breeze. thumbup.gif
if you want a pure handling and don't mind the stiff / hard ride(customize spring does help a lil' in comfort), go for adjustable. but if comfortable is your preference, stay away from any adjustable.

btw, so far the best non-adjustable i've d ever use was the apm performax set. handling and comfort in one! and it last more than 2 years!
letting go off the tein superstreet to add fund to my current project;
neo with gsr coupled with mivec top. but kinda hate the a** swaying of neo. still undecided whether to stay with e-manage or try haltech sweat.gif

p/s; bought my 205/55/15 at almost 650 bucks for 2 pcs. yokohama hs4. anything wider will be prone to aquaplaning. car's / 15" rims' weight and tires contact with flooded rood surface need to be compensated tongue.gif.

i think its ok.. even though its hav lips but the looks still got that 'big' feeling to it.. and basically since no bodykit the 17" will standout also with those thinner series tyre.. thumbup.gif.. for waja actually the arch diameter is big thus bigger rims would look nicer.. and 18" is a good choice brows.gif brows.gif ..

I'm using wei yip so far no problems. But make sure you did some grinding/welding to make the pipe and the faceplate seamless and same size.
