wow so fast, andrew u have flash the 5.0.6 test 3 rom!

so far any improvement on the sound and battery life?

I already switch back as I cannot stand the slow launcher, all 5.0.6 now got lagging launcher issue. You won't notice the lagging if your home screen is nothing, once you added a lot of widgets expecially the beautiful widgets or weather widget you will notice the lagging issue.

Others is great just the launcher got problem.

Yeah, 5.0.6 test 3 is crazily laggy when there are lots of custom widgets..I didn't have much problems with the default widgets though..I'm believing it has something to do with APPS2SD..cyanogen has implemented his custom APPS2SD technique in his roms..The transmission between the SD to the phone is not that efficient especially for widgets that have "working function" like taskiller, google buzz, setCPU, touiteur, etc

Just install CM 5.0.6-N1 Final ROM, thanks Cyanogen for your great job. Well done.

As Cyanogen said, the Fade-In effect is not as smooth as 5.0.5.3 and will looks to it. smile.gif The rest all working great.

Launcher review:
- Default CM 5.0.6-N1 launcher with stick at memory setting- smoother than any previous test version. Actually quite smooth already.
- HelixLauncher2 V0.7b2 - Not as smooth as original one but still quite ok, better than using at previous test version.
- HelixLauncer2 v0.6 for 5.0.6-T series by ruqqq; modified by Cyanogen - Sorry to said it is extremely lagging for me.

Hey N1 users, my friend from the states is gonna get me a unit of N1 from over there. He's asking me there's two N1 phone which have different UMTS bands which are 900/AWS/2100 MHz and the 850/1900/2100 MHz. so which one works for Digi and major telco company in Malaysia?

Done!!! icon_idea.gif I am new with this Android thing and don't even know what to compare, but for me... it's freakin' hot! laugh.gif

There is one thing, before I root my N1, I had Taskkiller and after getting adept at killing useless apps I always manage to conserved around 70-90M... But I noticed after root... I conserved about 200M++!!! Is it normal?? lol or I am seeing double...

And I did backup using MyBackup before rooting... Some of the apps is not working when I restored... Maybe I have to uninstall and install back?

Err... I heard about Kernel before, is the method still the same like flashing CM ROM?

Later I'll ask some more... lol now I wanna explore....

Thanks... icon_rolleyes.gif

Most of the hacked ROMs are using kernel with highmem enabled. You might get extra 174MB of RAM space cormpared to standard ROM.

Yes, changing kernel also can make lots diffs... isn't it Mr. Shahz ? smile.gif
