Do you think the iphone4 will suddenly start using the 3g service? Is there any way to turn that off if dont want (for father and sister). Suddenly the phone bill shoot up mati loh...

simple answer, turn 3G and cellular data off, and your iphone will be no different than the average nokia and SE out there.

Will maxis follow other country telco to have midnite launch?

just went to maxis center yesterday...their staff confirmed that maxis will launch iphone4 a week after raya..damn can not show off during raya time =P

Btw guys, the iP4 antenna issue still exist in this coming launch. New batch with fixed units will only release in October. That's when Apple expires it's free bumpers claims. For those who can wait, the October stocks will be the perfect choice. And those who can't wait, can get the existing stocks with bumpers.

Erm, any of you who pre-ordered the 3GS? How long was the pre-ordering period? I scared i will miss it because im out of my house from 6am till 3pm. Sometimes come home around 5pm also.

i think not all 1st batch of iphone4 got this antenna issue right..maybe those that unfortunate one only got this problematic iphone 4's antenna issue...
bcoz my friend just bought unlocked iphone4 from uk, he show me he try many ways to make the signal dropped even he covered the so called ''death band'' on the bottom left of the iphone4, however the signal wont dropped at all...

Sorry if I misused the word weeks. 10 weeks are still called weeks. Anyway, I don't know if you guys went for preorder or something, but do we get the phone on the exact date iPhone 3G launched? So soon after you grab one for yourself, iphone 3GS comes and the price of 3G dropped.

Basically telling people not to buy an iPhone too close to the date of new iPhone launching date. For example, grabbing an iPhone 3GS now at price of RM2500 would not be wise right?

Nobody is saying about waiting for the next or better phone. In my previous post, I am saying about hoping to get the new iPhone 4 as soon as possible. So that the next year I can grab another one, exactly about 1 year later.

If it comes late about Late September/October, then with all these shortage stock available (such as during February CNY for iPhone 3GS where people have to waits for 2 months for availability.) you will have your phone late of the year. By that time, you will be hearing rumours of new iPhone coming in with extra features and exactly same price as your current model.

Don't you agree that the sooner we grab a hand on it the better? Rather than paying RM2500 just to know that the price will drop few weeks later. Ask those who bought iPhone 3GS now. Those who had it earlier had such smooth interface and those have it late will feel bad of the sluggish iOS4 interface on 3GS. Kinda stressful and blood boiling when using it.

For your info, I am currently user of iPhone 3GS too and plan to get legal iPhone 4 when Maxis/Digi brings them in. iPhone 3G/3GS is not performing well in iOS4. Don't you think?
