Good for u , bro .. It's always better to buy extended warranty bcuz the panel is damn pricey kalau rosak.. But previously my cousin bought extended warranty from Senq, when his LCD got prob,my cousin was asked to pay almost RM2K for the panel, which is why now i dont really trust extended warranty. Only when our items got probs, then only the truth will appeared.

Anyway , thanx for info on the shop .. The shop got promo on 55" ?? hehehe..

Hmm, you raise a very valid concern .... I also ask the guy the same concern ... then he take a stake of file which all the customers dont have problem claiming the insurance ... I was considering 1/2 an hour in shop for the insurance ... anyway I make the decision to buy it because my toshiba 29" CRT Bombaa give me problem after warranty expired ...

I didnt ask about 55" because i dont know there is 55" .... 47" is already very big for me .... 55" !! super big !!!!

u did good .. My uncle bought 5yrs extended from some shop too , who showed him valid documents from Insurance company i think , better this way.Either from bank or insurance company are obviously better. At least better than those chainstores give free extended without policy/documents proven(u-know-who lorrr~ ) ...cakap kosong aje..

SS2, same row as Legend, MG and LH. I think that guy bought from one of the shops there.

... More then 6k is out of my budget ... and no new big TV for next 5 years ... unless I bought a new home ...

If anyone got deal for 55" let me know, am interested to buy - maybe we buy more together can get better price.

Contacted Toshiba today. They say 42" and 55" has been discontinued. But they still producing 47". Why so weird????

Not weird, really. It is marketing strategy. Consolidate all your effort to a single model, so can lower production cost. Reduce inventories (stocks). Maybe margin for the 47" is best or market trend indicates consumer preferring to go for larger screen sizes in the near future.

It does not make sense for Toshiba to discontinued their most "well received" product line at this crucial time. XL line just launched, but must compete in the LED category. If they kill the ZV series completely, what product do they have to compete in the LCD category. Not all consumers are LED converts and willing to pay the extra RM.

The battle for the end of the year (bonus) consumer ringgit is just around the corner. You can expect more price slashing by all major manufacturers in the coming few months. The 47" to 50" market segment seems to be getting hot. Panny also lowering price for large plasma model. Let the battle begin! May the consumers finally be the victors!

Finally bought mine unit at puchong for RM3530! Very happy with it. Now, need to go claim my DVD player.

The woofer isn't that strong. My previous toshiba has better sound due to its BIG size!!

Wow good price ... cheaper 20 than mine ... i believe you only need to fill in warranty online then you are entitle for a free DVD player if you buy in September ....
