After comparing the following differences between ZV and XL, i think im still go with ZV. The reason is clear scan 200 is more important for me than dynamic contrast, and ZV has woofer and is cheaper by 1k. I can live with a little more power consumption.

I also believe this XL is edgelit LED. The best one is probably the SL series (backlit LED with local dimming) which not available in malaysia yet.

Sure. Go check malaysian toshiba website, buy any ZV or XL series from their authorised dealer in september, can get free dvd player.

Thanks for the info. But I just bought from SS2 MG Electrical for 3580, didn't want to go all the way to puchong, so jam today.
While I had my dinner there, saw someone carrying away 55' ZV

I did not ask the price for 55'.

SS2, same row as Legend, MG and LH. I think that guy bought from one of the shops there.

I am interested to know the answer also, please help.
Also, is there a way to see how long or how many times the tv has been used?

There is a minor issue with ZV. I connect my PC to it via HDMI and set the pixel ratio (or something like that) to "Native", but everytime after i switch off and on again, the setting revert to "Wide", which i cannot see the full desktop. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine also, if you press it will go in, but I didn't notice until you mentioned. If I don't press, then won't see any gap.


Does it come with a hdmi cable? Im planning to get another cable because the current one seems to have a bit problem, if it comes with the dvd player, I will just wait.

I found a solution to this issue, just set Preference -> Auto Format to OFF.

I had similar problem when connected to my HTPC. Sound distorted every 1 to 2 hours. Managed to solve the problem by changing sound output in HTPC from 48kHz/24bit to 44.1kHz/24bit.
