no really faster than wm on x1, in fact is a bit lag on x1. my phone will keep on vibrate for unknown reason.

go to windows>startup folder

delete the plumsip shortcut, softreset.

Added on January 24, 2010, 11:55 ami had tried the 5.6 original and refreshed 23518 rom,

both always give me bottom bar freezed. i tap on windows button or left right soft keys, nothing comes out.

i think i will stick with itje's 23518.

haven try windows live. bcoz when i run total commander or resco explorer the bar will turn white like u say.

i think these rom is not suit my usage. hence flash back to previous rom i use.

papago X5 has better map navigation. the map view is very clean and smooth compare to garmin.

but i feel tat papago route suggestion is very stupid. both software i use latest MFM maps.

Papago x5 takes me go round instead of direct to reach the destination, even though i set my route option to "shortest distance".

i still prefer garmin mobile xt.

yea, with no video call. i nv use video call.

customization i mean here included install the software i frequent use, restore all my back up, and some registry tweak on the rom to suit my usage.

depend on wat software had included in the ROM.

basically i will install these software

- resco explorer
- spb wallet
- plumsip
- garmin mobile xt
- samsung handwriting
- resco photo manager
- valert
- chinese font
- netfront browser
- panda reader
- tcpmp player
- ptravlalarm
- memmaid

you will notice some are not freeware.

i din buy most of it, bcoz they normally have free trial for 30days

and im sure i will flash new ROM within a month. hence the software will nv expired.

backup i use pimbackup.

it works great, i nv had problem with restoring using pimbackup.

wat do mean by not successful in restoring?

try elaborate ur problem.

registry tweaking is depend on personal preference,

for example, i dislike the default font cestar offer to me, i will install another font and change my registry to map the new font.

or u wan to get better video record quality, u have to do some registry tweak.

try to explore xda forum, u will sure learn something from there.

activesync i found it very troublesome, so i dint use it. mayb i dont the correct way to use it.

myphone, i tried it b4, it also work fine. but it nid data usage, so i give it up.

i think TP3 specs will about the same with diamond3, if u look back to TP1 vs diamond, and TP2 vs diamond their specs very close to each other.

my advise is

the gps software with local map support are,

garmin mobile xt
mapking 2007
papago x3/x5

3 of them also have their own strengths and weakness.

papago have nice and smooth map naviation.

garmin mobile xt i feel tat it provide better routing suggestion.

mapking i nv use b4. no comment.

so decision is on ur hand.

my another advise is try them by urself.

if u wan to get the software, just google it, google will give u results.

garmin w/o license key, u cannot detect the gps signal. so u will know wat to do in order to get the gps signal.

on the other papago gives u 15 days full function free trial.

yea agreed. resco explorer + registry plugin i think is a must for tweaking user.

1 thing i love resco registry plugin is it support registry export and import. save me a lot of time to change my registry.

found a nice free app store for wm. i had download it but cant register an account atm. tried register from from the app itself, show me error, not internet connection. then i tried registry on from web, couldnt get into the register page. probably server down.
