QUOTE(legend1108 @ Jan 22 2010, 02:49 PM) mana la tau ade yg free.. ok.. if i decide to buy.. which one is good, easy to use and stable on x1? what is the price range market in malaysia? coz one guy in lowyat offer me for garmin mobile xt for rm50 with full map i guess.. forgot abt the offer.. can use for the whole my life he said.. all software have its own strength and weakness. cant say which is good or not good, very much depend on ur preferences. u can try different software b4 u decided to buy it. so far gps navigation software available on wm and with malaysia maps support are garmin mobile xt mapking 2007 papago x3 (chinese only) but some htc devices bundled with english papago x5 mapking 2009 im not sure where to get it. off topic: just notice tis is my 200th counted post. garmin mobile xt retial price 99.99USD https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=11413&ra=trueya have to agree with tompok82, papago x5 map view is way better than garmin. but the routing suggestion failed me. im not sure is the MFM problem or x5 problem. I also use MFM on my garmin. but the routing suggestion is better than x5. i do notice one thing, during navigation x5 map rendering is better than garmin. but when come back to UI, i feel tat x5 is kind of lag compare to garmin. QUOTE(tompok82 @ Jan 22 2010, 03:29 PM) chin, I'm browsing through MalFreeMaps right now, but I only see "MFM-Papago Custom 100106 (for Papago Z880 & R58x0, Holux 62-series, Wayway, Altina & X5 for Android)" & "MFM-Papago Standard 100106 (for Papago X3 for Windows Mobile & HTC X3)". Which one is for our PAPAGO! X5? Because none of those states that they are maps for PAPAGO! X5 for Windows Mobile. i had tried both, the result give me is MFM-Papago Custom 100106 (for Papago Z880 & R58x0, Holux 62-series, Wayway, Altina & X5 for Android) x5 cannot detect the map. but if u change the .hdr file with x3 .hdr, map can be detected. but cannot perform POI search. so now im using MFM-Papago Standard 100106 (for Papago X3 for Windows Mobile & HTC X3)download the map for x3, because i heard of x5 is the modified version of x3.

another thing is i think MFM currently is not 100% compatible with x5.
if u want to perform POI search,
for instance, if wan to find the poi at selangor area, wat i did is
Find>Poi search>Areas>folder icon beside Selangor
the result come out is from KL.
then if i choose Singapore, the result is Selangor.
@@
in x3 tis searching works perfect.

QUOTE(tompok82 @ Jan 22 2010, 03:49 PM) What the heck did you just type? I don't understand a thing. Anyway, just to solve your curiosity, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is not build by Sony Ericsson. Xperia X1 original manufacturer / designer is HTC. Sony Ericsson only does rebranding. Like Naza bought the design of Peugeot 206 & rebrand it as Naza 206 Bestari. Only Xperia X2 & Xperia X10 is the original product by Sony Ericsson. wat i know is X2 is actually made by taiwan based company called Mobinnova. it is also rebranding. edit: i think use the word outsourcing is better than rebranding for X2 X10 im not sure. QUOTE(tompok82 @ Jan 22 2010, 04:08 PM) chin, do you have any problem using MFM PAPAGO! X3 maps on your PAPAGO! X5? Because if you do, please state it now as I'm about to reply antyong's post. This way, we can let him know about the bugs of using Windows Mobile X3 Maps on Windows Mobile X5. PS: He also told me to use Windows Mobile X3 maps on Windows Mobile X5. alright. so far i just encounter the POI search problem.
