yeelin, get bck x1 from ur boiboi, den flash it wif custom rom.

yes, ur garmin will be save from hard reset.

after hardreset, go into folder "2577" located in ur memory card click autorun to install back some data.

btw, u can always backup ur garmin data for example ur recent location, ur saved location, etc

navigate to phone memory, u will see a garmin folder, backup the whole folder.

after u had clicked autorun reinstall data, then u restore ur backup data.

note, some of the datas might not be able to restore, due to system locked or being using.

but it wont affect much, based on my experience.

im want to make my statement to be clearer

im using my dopod m700 charger to charge my x1 from day 1. as all of u know, dopod phones also make by htc.

the charger output 1000mA as well.

so far i dun hv any problem with my phone and battery.

yeah probably will reduce battery lifespan.

maybe our x1 not suitable charging with higher ampere otherwise SE wont give us the 700mA.

cant comment on x1 charger, nvm used before. bcoz the charger used up 1 usb cable.

ady hard spl, den go for custom rom bah...

here got few people recommended valkyrie 28014 Leo II.

I personally used it b4, quite at stable ROM.

but now im on itje's touch-it 23518 v2. very good.

i dont recommended u flash itje's rom coz it required alot customization since u r a beginner.

valkyrie is a good choice for u, imo.

i think u dont have the x1 bootloader driver installed in ur pc.

wat i mean is when 1st time do hard spl, c1 will turn into bootloader mode, windows will need a driver to recognize ur x1.

actually im not sure wat it called.

ya no video call.

i can use camera.

make sure u change the capture mode to
photo.

1. caller id sometimes doesnt show up even though the the phone is ringing.

2. htc sense music tab, when u update ur album art, htc sense will freeze.

try use tis shortcut. i edited it.

put this shortcut under
windows>start menu>program

run camera from start menu, change the capture mode to photo.

after tat ur camera should be always run in photo mode.

core player is not free, and it is a new version of tcpmp.

tcpmp is free, no more update, because take over by core player. the latest version of tcpmp is 0.72 RC1.

btw, tcpmp support plugins, which it pwned core player, imo.

never experienced hang at sms, in fact my phone only hang when i update music album art.

use resco explorer

navigate to My device>windows>start menu>programs

the windows folder itself is not hidden.

but some of the folders or shortcut in start menu is hidden.

u have to unhide the system files, the setting can be found in resco explorer options.

not always lah update. usually i use nitrogen to play music, but itje din cook in the app.

so atm im using htc music player.

my memory card oni 4gb.

this is weird.

u change the capture mode at here? (refer to the pic i uploaded)

HTC Sense is a user interface, based on the TouchFLO 3D user interface. (taken from wikipedia)

HTC Sense also know as Manila, last time.

So basically they are the same thing. just changed the name as time and development goes by.

addon,

the very 1st name of this user interface is called TouchFLO 2D

then, come up with TouchFLO 3D, followed by Manila, and now we have the HTC Sense.

hmmm i think u have to make it clear.

people always refering htc sense = manila, vice versa.

if u installed spd shell, manila still deactivated.

u can activate back manila at settings>Home>Items, tick the HTC Sense and untick spb shell.

another case is u install spb shell on x-panel, then u just need to switch ur x-panel, if im not mistaken. (long time never use x-panel.)
