Surprising my IS7-E still running strong throughout the years

Abit IS7-E isn't the low end board. Abit boards are very durable.

got replacement for my kong psu and my old machine back in action ... bought Seasonic S12 II 500W for RM265 including postage ... at first wanna get FSP Bluestorm II for RM 255 with postage but my lil bro wanna buy Lancool K58W ... so buy together with psu to save postage fee ...

Seasonic is a nice true PSU too,i guess you are very satisfy with its efficiency.

Your previous Silverstone was the 400w model right? If i am not mistaken,the PSU is a slightly low end model,no active PFC.

it was strider 400W ver 1.0 .. i geuss no active PFC ... never check also ... ... rite now kindda happy my my Seasonic ... just to many unused cable ...

many unused cables means can accommodate more upgrades

Even my old 430W Antec Truepower II has a lot of unused cables

yeah bro ... but not wishing to upgrade in this short time la coz don't wanna see any big hole appear in my pocket yet ...

New year new wish and new toys..Hohoh...It's time to upgrade...

yeah .. everybody also wishing to upgrade their system with the latest tech including me too .... but i'll stay with the old machine as long as i can ... only will upgrade when i can afford ...

My P4 now is download, online and movie rig only XD

this year is bad year for buying tech... most item prices increased. i went lowyat yesterday, the bargains are not as attractive as last year's...

@edmin,lyn front page has a news saying that the hardware price will keep going up this year especially on LCDs. I am struggling to get a larger LCD but sometimes i just feel it is not a must for me. Between,are you in KL area now?

just came back frm KL yesterday, work purposes & taking event photos. went on sat, back on sun. managed to drop by lowyat for an hour b4 leaving for lcct.

same here bro ... thank god that i'm not into gaming ....

Since you guys have shared how your rigs are primarily used for downloads, let me share a few personal tips off the top of my head to keep the download fun rolling.

I don’t know how it really affects the performance of my download rig but when I turn off my internet firewall, things are really easier for my downloads.

But then again I’m always wary of exposing my PC to unwelcome guests. Thus, it takes a nice combination of luck and research to avoid getting risks while downloading without a firewall.

when it comes to PSU...seasonic is a good brand to get...it's my favourite brand... ..corsair, antec all appoint seasonic to make most of their PSUs for them...


anyway...I've decided to let my P4 rig(rig2) go...gonna break em apart and sell em separately....any takers frm here?
