You can read the info. like this, how many GHz,and the L2 cache.Then we can tell you what is that proc's family.

I was spring cleaning my store today....though not complete....I found a P4 socket 478 proc...

checked it out that it's an engineering sample "intel confidential qju5es costa rica"

seems like it's 1.9Ghz, 256cache....I don't remember having this proc....anyhow, if any of you is interested...pm me... brows.gif wink.gif

since busyman is able to list out partial of the CPU info, i assume the CPU is in his bare hands, he can just check for the IHS engraved info again.

I play l4d2. when to many action can become quite sluggish doh.gif

I am playing the game as well. The game works fine with my rig. Seem like you will need a bit o/c to make your system smoother.

I didn't try o/c this thing...my P4 is temporary offline for now...

so if anyone wants this proc....come over to tmn megah/ss23 area and collect it...i'm giving it free.... nod.gif

i have this same issue as well last time. it runs well on my sata for 1 year+ then start to hang like yours. end up use PATA all the way.

my p4p800x died already last few months. cry.gif

now switch back to my AXP2000. running slowly with 1gb ram + 76gs. haha...

well... i just use my rig for internet and movie. no gaming.... so wont suffer much.
