It turns my iPhone 3GS into a WiFi AP. Thus, I can use the iPad's wifi (when I purchase one in the future...hehe) to browse the Net. Thus, don't need to subscribe to another 3G line.

Hey is the iPad practical for students?
I feel like its a great device to own but it feels like rather just like a luxury..

To me IPAD is more for your entertainment......purpose

Frankly speaking it is an unnecessary device hehehe but no harm having a fun device. I can foresee future students bring a slate device like iPAD with their reading material loaded in the device. No more textbooks. Heck, maybe they have more than one slate just in case they need to refer to more than one book at a time.

For now, most of your content and resources are on the textbook, journals, etc. So no go there hehehe...

This does depend on the initiative of the school to digitize their content for distribution on the device though.

Seem there got ppl selling 16GB for 2500 here in KL....got a few sms say that is damn limited stock....so sudden got stock around here...price a bit high :-(

2500 is consider cheap d...yesterday go n c my sources, they got more than 10 units on hand...16gb selling at rm2800...

i'm still awaiting local Mac store to bring in official local ones and i m eager to see the impact on price to imported ones selling here in lyn..

official one will be in june, supplier from SIS distributor..

abit weird though, use the iphone so create a wifi network so that u can use ur ipad to go online....

Yeah, I've been using something like that with Nexus One's wireless tethering. Works perfectly.

Yeah and I wish to see this happen in a few generations hahaha... During our younger days, this kind of thing were of fantasies. Now we finally witness it.
