aiks...last time i 2nd year always busy with engi graphics haha. later 8.45am got basic photography workshop by one of the SOB lecturer at LTBS1, held by geology club, rm3 fee. if i wake up i go lol, but dun expect much lah. probably stuff we all know already anyway

anyone using sigma 70-200 f2.8 APO EX HSM here? comments?
*
heard that it is hard to use at 200 mm cos without OS/VR even with the f/2.8
maybe shud wait for the launch of Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 VC n c the price

QUOTE(ezrasang @ Mar 27 2010, 02:37 AM)
Yaya I saw it in fb and notices in com lab. RM2 for member while RM3 for non-member, ahyo this 1 also wanna charge, nothing is free in Curtin >.<
Anyway, got 1 guy in lakeside apartment with Sigma 18-200 for Canon, I don't know who's the owner, my friend pinjam and use. I tried to use, damn so hard to zoom to 200 (not smooth). IQ, no idea. Sigma 70-200, never touch before, Nikon 70-200, smooth and easy. But with f/2.8, no idea at all. XD

I've used 200mm without VR (forgot to turn back on), 1/200 at 200mm some shots still sharp tongue.gif. LOL. But hit rate is lowered compared to with VR almost all would be sharp.

maybe coz u r using Nikkor 70-200 instead of 3rd party? tongue.gif

but 1/200 at 200mm is ok without VR
below 1/100 would be difficult i think
tried 55-200 VR at 200mm with VR on n off
with VR used 1/60 still sharp, off VR then 1/100 oso hard to get sharp pics
but then again, purpose of having f/2.8 is to allow higher shutter speed laugh.gif

I'm on crop sensor, meaning effectively the rule is 1/300s lol.

But no lar zzz, Nikkor or third party also same what ._. The VR is kick ass, 1/8s at 200mm still got chances to get sharp image xD

nope. u try compare with giottos the dust blower will usually suck air in from the back(if the back hole aint blocked) and blow out to the front. imagine a dust blower captures the dust in front of the tip and blow again out. rolleyes.gif

Haha, no worry, this cap ayam not that ayam, the front valve will close to prevent air entering (got stated, that's why the shape is cone). Air will enter from back too, just not sure got filter or not. Tomorrow I will check more detaily under sunlight. laugh.gif
