QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jan 3 2010, 01:12 AM) me n my frens went there n play with the cams on wednesday The d3 was amusing! It responds VERY FAST, and that 500mm lens is SOOOOO big and looks very heavy. I can capture the signboards on the opposite block clearly. The shutter sound is SEXY~ and d700 also not bad, but i dunnoe where to find the mode dial (M,A,S,P) thingy. too noob to use FF haiz...we spent a whole hour molesting those cams, especially the D3 we hogged the D3 for bout 15mins i think, until some guy waiting to test it glare at us only we cabut finally got 1 of my best fren poisoned by DSLR, now he whole day grumbling cant stand the poison wan zoom in in playback also dunno how >.< |

try to get SB600, a good flashgun is fundamental in indoor shoots. Or if your budget is low (like me), get a nissin Di622. But of cuz you pay more u get more lor

of cuz skill is the most important part, but with a flashgun which can swivel different direction, he can learn more tricks and improve his skill in using the flash like bouncing, diffusing, strobist etc. Even with very good skill, using pop up flash without the diffuser will produce a harsh effect. Unless u use FF or prime lens lor, no need use flash haha. If u say to get the pop-up flash diffuser, might as well get a flashgun. just my 2 cents =) This post has been edited by zellleonhart: Jan 4 2010, 12:20 PM |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jan 4 2010, 12:22 PM) well maybe Saudagar_unta can keep on using the A4 paper as the pop-up flash bouncer/diffuser or using a cardboard, but i assure you it's not convenient. Get a flash gun (even though 3rd parties like nissin) and you're good to go. If your budget allows, try to get a sb600, it's enough to serve u for a very long time.Like noobie1 said, kit lens is not bad. I have a senior who owns a studio, he used kit lens to shoot wedding album. Result still very good. |

Ahh 35mm F1.8 poison T.T gonna save money for that...
Well i played D5k and D90 in timesquare centre, D90 is a bit bigger than D5000 and the control is better... And of course the internal AF motor is the poison lo~ Noise control i cant compare yet cuz there's no memory card inside... |

Hey guys my D40+kitlens got some prob d... My lens the focus ring is a bit loose, in AutoFocus mode (the ring shouldn't be moving if i touch it) when i turn it it can move for about 1mm. Like not that tight already.
Secondly sometimes my autofocus cannot perform, it DOESN'T autofocus suddenly, got some moving static sound but the lens wont AF. I need to remount the contact of the lens only wan work. If I wan to send to nikon service centre, how much will they charge me for fixing the autofocus thing and the lens calibration (the focus ring)? Already passed the warranty period. |

Still a student no money leh T.TTime for the kit lens to retire and time for a replacement. 17-50 tamron 2.8 VC FTW time to get some poison And I hope can upgrade body cuz 6MP and the noise control is not enough for me... If got money then i think i'll save for body 1st =X So anyone know around how much will cost me to check up my D40 body and fix the AF and focus ring problem? |
