Hi guys,

I'm in Melbourne and was shopping around for duty free dSLR. Got this deal for the D3000;



NIKON D3000 18-55&55-200MMVR TWIN LENS KIT
AUD899 = RM2822


Is it worth it? I'm a beginner FYI, and I don't plan to spend too much on a dSLR. Just a sufficient one will do :-)

Very nice photo you have there... as what the other forumer said, very good contrast!!

But I would prefer it if a lower ISO is used Just my personal preference

hahahaha I have a D3000 too and I find that noise starts to build up at ISO800 and above. So choosing lower ISO will have less noise but then the shuttle speed will be slower. But then again, since your SS is only 1/125, maybe ISO400 can be used to. FYI, I'm a noob too hahahha so I'm still learning also

For daytime capture, higher ISO is ok, but when it comes to night time, the noise would be very obvious

Free one would be Gimp... But if just wanna adjust lighting stuff, the software that comes with Nikon, CaptureNX will do... But to make full use of that I think you need to shoot with RAW, more options will be available in the software

haha yeah... kinda reminds me of the art class that I had during secondary school. Teacher asked us to draw a boat in the middle



But that pic was good. Every photo taken is good to the photographer because of the feeling that he/she had at that moment
