1750 vc is good but when in very lowlight condition it will hunt quite a bit. IQ is good.. Nikon D40/D40x/D60/D3000/D5000 V7, Entry Level Digital SLR from Nikon.

QUOTE(Isepunye @ Feb 2 2010, 11:01 PM) at least we caught his attention QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Feb 3 2010, 08:11 AM) there is no 35mm 1.4 , i m using 50mm 1.4. u're talking about that youtube video again arent u Most prime lens are good for portrait, but the cheapest solution is of course the 50mm. Alot say the best range for portrait would be 105mm but the longer the range, the better bokeh u ll get. Some pros using 300mm stand across the street just to get a portrait shop by communicating via walkie talkie with the model. |

QUOTE(Isepunye @ Feb 7 2010, 01:49 AM) Not sure if it's just me but it's more of a precautionary method right? So far my fon, laptop, cam none charge for 8 hours on first charge n it still retains battery rly well compared to those who does follow the 'advice'. QUOTE(General_Nic @ Feb 18 2010, 11:48 PM) lets say i have about rm2k (from angpao Read Feb 2010's DCM issue and u will see Nikkor 50mm wins in overall 50mm competition compared with even Canon and Sigma (if i remember correctly).which lens is more worth between these 3? 1) either Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G AF-S or Sigma 50mm f/1.4G (basically 50mm lens) 2) Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC 3) Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR im thinking between these 3 cos of each lenses advantages & disadvantages, n their price range r very close i always wanted the 50mm, but it can be too narrow sometimes n very inconvenient to change lenses so comes in the thought to get Tamron 17-50, but getting this lens will mean my kitlens is wasted thinking of 70-300 cos i dun have zoom lens, but the f/5.6 at 300mm may be to hard to use in low light 1. 50mm 1.4 Nikkor for me 2. im thinking hard to sell off my tammy 17-50 vc. its a good lens but i wanna try something new 3. just get all 3 lar.. |

17-55 is sharper than 17-50VC.
17-55 is using 77mm thread while 17-50 is using 72 both perform quite well IMO |
