55-200mm with f5.6 at zoom range is not suitable in not so good in indoors. Only solution if u wanna zoom in indoors is 70-200 2.8 and 80-200 2.8.

Bro,u just go for the 80-200 2.8 push pull..For me,after owning the 70-200,i can take portrait picture without moving closer,thus leave a gap between be and the subject..so,the person can freely posed for me(usually my gf will be the unofficial model)..Well i guess a photographer have the green light to move freely without disturbing people with their flashes.
but 17-50 2.8 is also good for wedding and portrait..but i dont own the VC version..just the normal one..
