Guys, i am sorry to interrupt..
Some of you might say the snow made the situations of the game become difficult.
Most of reactions against the weather and wanted to call off the game for tonight.

One thing that i don't really understand, some might get other reactions if the games called off,now after the game been played, some still want to complain about the weather.

Sorry for what i've said.
I am based on what i read from few pages back. notworthy.gif
*
The wheather for first 45 minutes is like normal London conditions. But after the half-time u can see the snow suddenly go heavily and players start to slip here and there. In just 10 minutes u can see the field is already filled with snow and there be a track behind players wherever they run.

It is really hard to play in this condition.Everton played really well today and draw for Arsenal is really a fair result already considering both team have lots of players in the injury room.

almunia is like a clown right now..nobody seems to take him seriously any more. Even the whole team doesn't trust him anymore. wenger should give fabianski a go.
*
no way.fabianksi is the worst arsenal goalkeeper.
maybe mannone ?

i was a bit angry with rosicky bcause he misspassed the balled that gave to cahill and pienarr scored
luckily he get the equaliser but still i think arsenal could hve won.maybe the weather

if u notice, arsenal will only play seriously when they are a goal down which is not good.

anyway,i think diaby getting better.although this is not his good performance but i like him now playing at arsenal.

what happen to denilson ar?song out.this is serious prob for arsenal,

need to buy 1 striker and 1 experienced midfield.

I would refrain from blaming the weather for the result. And I wouldn't say we are paying the price for our decision to play in the blizzard. We already have one game postponed. To have another game postponed could spell trouble for our already congested fixtures.

Sometimes I wonder if any of the people here has ever kicked a ball in their life.

Diaby was the best player for us tonight. As someone already pointed out, he had a bad spell for 10-15 mins in the 2nd half and that was it. Other than that, he was good on the ball and held his defensive position well.

And someone also said Nasri was playing badly? Hello??!! He was the only one giving us some mobility in midfield and he at least had the balls to take on the tough Everton midfield and defence.

As for Traore, he did not make any major mistake and he was a threat going forward for us. If you are referring to the 2nd goal, I'd ask where the hell was Sagna? If he went up for the header, a midfielder should have stayed back to cover.

And sometimes, you have to give credit to the other team when they play well. Instead, some of us here just condemn our own team.

And to that person who kept banging on about how we suck and called Traore our worst man of the match, I'd take a good look at the performance of the man you have on your siggie.

Kthxbye.

i agree with u.traore played well, got superb speed also.
there 1 part he is a bit angry when there everton corner.dunno why, maybe bcause he can't clear it

about sagna,i think he is tension a bit.wanted arsenal to win, thats why he go upfront to support but it goes the other way.and the yellow card prove he was tens

the best i think might be diaby.nasri not sure .decent

poor performance from arsenal this afternoon. however credit to the whole team for not giving up till the last minute.

we started very sluggishly, probably due to slippery field and the cold. lack of tempo from usual arsenal coz they were trying to be too careful.

i cannot bring myself to like almunia.. he's very shaky and unconvincing although has been arsenal no 1 for at least 2 years. his judgment and positioning were very awful. my heart skip a beat every time with opponent crosses. i lost count how many time he rushed out and missed the punch or drop the balls.

anyway, i still love arsenal. hope they can do better next time. although, denilson injury worries me a lot since the midfield option has become thinner now. huhu

ramsey needs more games under his belt. he's good but still not consistent. however he works hard which is very good.

Its a good thing that United drew.

Well on Almunia, He's a decent GK. I disagree on most of you who thinks he's not good enough. He's certainly much better than Manone and Fabianski. I wonder whether most of ur judgement is basement on just a game.

Our midfield weren't good enough. I think we've pretty much missed Song big time, thats how Pienaar scored that goal. Most of the time Song would be the one back tracking.
Strikers been missing too many chances, Eduardo in this case. We do need a quality finisher.
Back 4 was really shaky. Gallas was caught doing mistakes due to bad whether. I'm not really a fan of Traore. I think he is still young and immature at his decision making.

Most of you guys are thinking by signing players, we would win games. Its not easy to sign any player to fit the team. We have to consider about the teamwork and also whether the player suits our style of play. Thats how Wenger makes his judgement. Most of the players AW bought fits perfectly to the team.
Credits to Everton, they played really well. Could have won it.

If Denilson is injured, we seriously need to get a CB/DM type of player who can cover both position. We have tough fixtures after bolton and stoke. We'll have to take on AV, MU, CHE, LIV. We need enough squad depth because these game will sum up our season. So during these games, we canot afford to lose a striker or DM/CB. We shud seriously get a striker and defensive player no matter Nicky is fit or not. Look at poor Denilson, he jus recovered for this games and seems to be going off again. If we really wan to win the title, we need to spend seriously for the first time. I believe this is the best chance we had in 4 years to really do something.

the game shown a few obvious situation with the squad

1. Al clearly had lost the trust of our defenders. very bad situation for a GK to be in
2. while he may performed consistently last season, Al performances this season are ranging from slightly below average to downright bad. i thought his performance was bad in this match by the way
3. Billy Gallas clearly played through injury for some time already now. i'm not sure what needed to be done, but le Boss need to do something about the centre back position
4. we missed Alex Song badly last night, as much as we missed Cesc IMO

Last night's performance reminded me of the loss against Sunderland.

In both matches, we didnt got our passing game moving because the opposition was putting us under constant pressure by pressing us all over the pitch. And I remember in both matches I was thinking to myself "They'll surely be tired sooner or later".

But they didn't.

Back then, I suppose the "trick" to beat us was probably to play a little rough, case in point, Bolton. However, both these game showed that other teams just need to constantly harrass and close down our lads and its not necessary to be overly physical with our lads.

And don't forget, the Sunderland match had Song and Fabregas in the lineup.

So what to do now? More 5-a-side or overloading drills? A plan B? A new signing? Change in formation? I honestly don't know. But having Bendtner back would give another option in attack.

Added on January 10, 2010, 7:40 amRead on a blog that Denilson's injury could be a broken rib from P. Neville's challenge and the bone belatedly moved as he was running. If it was, that would take around 1-2 months right?

Missed the game... couldn't wake up after sleeping for 3 hours only the previous night....ZZZZZZ

It seems like everybody is disappointed and yet relieved that we managed to scrap 1 point even though we looked like losing. The good thing is that MU also slipped, hence putting us back to where we started.

I don't think it's time to call panic. Teams will have off-days every now and then, and we just got one yesterday not unlike the poor performances vs Sunderland or Burnley. Nevertheless, it's a reminder to Arsene that we would be better off with some reinforcements in January.

The referees need to be blamed too...I saw many bad tacklings goin on around the field and no action has been taken (warning or flash card). We're like playing in a kind of anti-football situation plus all the snow thingy. Birmingham held MU to a draw, happy happy laugh.gif
