Apparently, it is not really a good choice to play Offside trap on opponent's ground.

With this weather condition, I'd expect a draw...However, I believe Everton were the luckier/better team today.

The referees need to be blamed too...I saw many bad tacklings goin on around the field and no action has been taken (warning or flash card). We're like playing in a kind of anti-football situation plus all the snow thingy. Birmingham held MU to a draw, happy happy

What kinda good spirit? All I see was a bunch of players lunging at each other on the pitch...If it was not anti-football then I don't know what it is? Besides, there ain't any warning by the referee and this might be the first time I saw Vermaelen being stay on the ground for long after a tackle.

QUOTE(sigheart @ Jan 10 2010, 06:42 PM) Saying Everton employed anti football tactics is a classic case of sour grapes. If playing a closing down and pressing game is anti football, then what do you expect Everton to do? Just let us waltz through and strut our stuff? Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the fact that at times opponents can outplay you. I din say only Everton employed anti-football tactics, please read clearly ok? Im saying both of the team did the same thing, and it's not a good football display either...Why what u said this some kinda good spirit? This gotta be the most eye soring football match I've ever seen and the referees didn't even do anything about it. And I don't think Cesc/Song can be some kinda savior too in this kinda atmosphere like everyone been missing about. This post has been edited by ProbMan: Jan 10 2010, 07:48 PM |

QUOTE(Zan81 @ Jan 10 2010, 09:10 PM) When I said "played in good spirit", I meant everyone gave us good as they got. No incident of fighting doesn't necessary mean the match is a very good match, and maybe for your standard it is...All I want to stress here about the match it's that a couple of incidents that might have at least deserved a warning by referee. Everyone played hard but fair. Even our lads made some good challenges here and there. Samir Nasri was surprisingly good in the tackle as well. And I don't recall any incident of players squaring up to each other, or any argy bargies, handbags, headbutts, etc etc. That's what is meant "in good spirits". If you hate to see good, solid tackles, or aggressive play, I suggest you watch ping pong. Some examples.... Good spirit = Last night Bad spirit = Anytime we play Hull or Man Utd during the Keane-Vieira days. QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 10 2010, 09:43 PM) Diaby is improving, like how Denilson and Song before him did. Don't overlook what Abou has done over the summer... he deserves all the credit. Actually I agree Denilson is improving, Song is the most consistent after improvised...And Diaby is just his usual self. |

Haihz, play at Emirates somemore is an early kickoff...I'd prefer Astro airing this one instead of the former match.

What a bad morning to start my day....I watch until 11pm which is exactly the time when AW made alot substitutions to his squad. Before I leave the mamak, I thought if we stay on with those players, the best we could have is managed to draw...Anyhow, I think it should be alright because we can be more focus on UCL and EPL.
Altho Silvestre has been defeated from time to time, but he also did some effort in cover up for Coquelin. For me, the worst player is gonna be Walcott. This post has been edited by ProbMan: Jan 25 2010, 07:07 AM |

Sigh...There are few players performance like crap yesterday and this guy chose to blame the manager. It doesn't make sense at all. If there's anything I'd like to complain about the manager is that, the substitutions is just pointless...However, I believe it's a psychology tactics that gone backfire. Yeah, one of those days experimenting a tactics that didn't work out.

Maybe Sol Campbell partnership with Gallas can be tested as well... We played at home, we shouldn't be the one to be worrying so much. And Diaby is goin to be our savior.
