Saying Everton employed anti football tactics is a classic case of sour grapes. If playing a closing down and pressing game is anti football, then what do you expect Everton to do? Just let us waltz through and strut our stuff? Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the fact that at times opponents can outplay you.

When I said "played in good spirit", I meant everyone gave us good as they got.

Everyone played hard but fair. Even our lads made some good challenges here and there. Samir Nasri was surprisingly good in the tackle as well. And I don't recall any incident of players squaring up to each other, or any argy bargies, handbags, headbutts, etc etc.

That's what is meant "in good spirits". If you hate to see good, solid tackles, or aggressive play, I suggest you watch ping pong.
