do you know when YTLP gonna announce Q report?

Should be either today or tomorrow.

Potentially with special div

Special Dividend eh? Serious or not?

Last year 2009 they released Nov 19. Maybe this year the same.

I always assume last week of the month though.

No update from Mr Yeoh on special div. Just I hope at least give us something especially since I'm expecting good Q report. Else, just increase the div payout to 0.30 per year or give us 50-50 sharing in the earnings. Anyway, got rumours that might bring the share price up. I just realized it today.

Reasons simple they just not willing to share the profit with minority shareholders

The price of the warrant suggests that YTLP could go beyond 2.73 after the div payout. Not sure when we will hit that though

From the sound of it so far, this service sounds similar to MAGICJACK, where you can use your home phone, cell phone to make calls through your internet connection. He is targetting mainly college and varsity students who usually carry their laptop's around. Rest of users I believe won't find this very convenient.

To make mega bucks I think is doubtful. Even if they make 20 million/month or 240 million a year, per share works out to about 3 sen. Don't see the recent price surge as justifiable.

Though on speculative buying may go even higher!! But sooner or later the bubble will burst.

you forgotten to multiply the P/E ratio, say 15x then reflected price shld be 45sen up from RM2.3

As I mention earlier, the good things have yet to come...

Mind sharing your optimism towards YTLP? I also want to know what is the good things...example like new acquisition? Definitely I don't hope is Wimax, though I secretly hope Wimax can contribute positively to the earnings aka our div. Thanks.

Wimax is definitely the highest potential, 1min = 9sen worldwide to all numbers, where to get? Skype is free when it's PC to PC via internet. If you are on 3G mobile phone and try Skype, the quality is very bad and almost impossible...

Then next question is does YTLPI really spend RM2.5bil on this Yes thingy? I doubt so.

Multiply by P/E ratio if you are sure of steady profits for the 15 years. In IT sector where got such guarantee? What happened to the POTONG guys. So much optimism in a short period of time and then........

I would be more optimistic about CO-GEN technology (adopted by Power Seraya) for long term steady profits than WiMAX and related stuff. So many competitors down the road and so expensive to roll out and maintain with the latest tech changes/advancements.

In the daily trading notice that big shark (EPF) loves to buy up during starting of the trading 9am and then slowly sell it and put the strong resistance at 2.6 with 10000 lots on 18 and 19 nov

After EPF stopped selling, YTLPower may boost up to certain level. Just matter of time.

How far it would go? 3, 4 or 5? Depend on the coming report and response of Recent WIMAX product launched.

I would think that currently YTLP will stay between 2.4-2.7 like last time when it was stucked at 2.1-2.3 for very long time with only some times surging towards 2.5 during Q report and div announcement then pullback to 2.3 or lower. Now should be the same, with on and off moving to 2.80. I secretly hope it will go beyond rm3 though.

Wimax is not going to contribute significant to the group profit.

In fact, for short term wise, it could be a burden.

At the rate the consumer encounter so much problem i think this is become like P1 problem!
