To those warriors who lose confidence on YTLPI, let me give you a diff perspective...
YES is different from P1 because it offers both voice and data in a same package. Means don't need to pay separate bill for internet and phone. and next year would be pay TV. Overseas call with be like local call. YES can also be used in oversea, using third party broadband speed but call is still local call... How many potential subscribers in Malaysia and around the world? Digi has c. 8 mil subscribers... Just say 1 mil subscribers at average fee is RM100 1 year is RM1.2bil, assume margin is 40% then profit is about RM500mil. Can it become the next Digi? I think yes. LTE a threat? Not so soon, all just talk. Talk is always easy. In a nut shell, Yeoh don't do losing money business. TP: RM4.00 |

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Nov 12 2010, 12:52 PM) I know about these we can read it from newspaper lol. As i told you previously my main concern is not here. It is more to the transparency of all these wimax ventures. I have few questions in my mind. 1. If YTLP can buy over YTLCOMM. Why not YTL e? I mean before all these announcement. Why they want to use ytle services? How much ytle are going to charge ytlp? Sounds sensible, that why YTLComms bought Extiva (VOIP co) recently. YTL Comm holds the license to build and operate while bizsurf holds the spectrum. The fee is for the spectrum. 2. YTLP is pouring in 2.5billion. Is it 2.5billion only? As you mention earlier, 2.5bil is just on paper, but look at the B/S of YTLPI..does it reflecting that? How about bara aktif? They are owning 40% out of it...How is the profit sharing in future? Something to ask in AGM. I don have any economics degree i am from technical side. But i feel that you cannot just see everything on paper in investment. You need to look out of the box. Many things still unclear.... I don want to invest in a counter with so many doubts. Thats y i prefer to take profit and stay sideline. It is nothing about success or failure of wimax but the transparency.... I park my money all in arreit. At least i can constantly get RM 7k dividend every 3 months. If YTLP go belows RM 2.40 I can buy back anytime. |

QUOTE(skiddtrader @ Nov 18 2010, 10:04 AM) Edit: Correction on price. First it's target at low/middle income low/average user...average user only use less than 1GB per monthRead a thread in the broadband forum, someone posted YES mobile broadband 'rumoured' pricing is RM0.03 per MB. It's pay per use, so no contract, no fixed monthly, no Fair usage policy or capped speed and seems to be only targeting the Mobile Internet (Phone with Internet) market for that kind of pricing. So Streamyx users or any other homebased desktop internet will not in anyway benefit if they are into heavy downloading. No tethering for sure due to price per MB. So definitely no threat to convetional internet providers such as TM or P1. Casual internet users on their phone who uses less than 500MB per month will benefit. Second target is voice..9sen/min is super cheap and is worldwide Heavy user need to wait...time will come early next year..YES phone better than blackberry and i phone will be out... |

QUOTE(calmwater @ Nov 19 2010, 06:05 AM) From the sound of it so far, this service sounds similar to MAGICJACK, where you can use your home phone, cell phone to make calls through your internet connection. He is targetting mainly college and varsity students who usually carry their laptop's around. Rest of users I believe won't find this very convenient. you forgotten to multiply the P/E ratio, say 15x then reflected price shld be 45sen up from RM2.3To make mega bucks I think is doubtful. Even if they make 20 million/month or 240 million a year, per share works out to about 3 sen. Don't see the recent price surge as justifiable. Though on speculative buying may go even higher!! But sooner or later the bubble will burst. As I mention earlier, the good things have yet to come... |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Nov 19 2010, 09:05 AM) Mind sharing your optimism towards YTLP? I also want to know what is the good things...example like new acquisition? Definitely I don't hope is Wimax, though I secretly hope Wimax can contribute positively to the earnings aka our div. Thanks. Wimax is definitely the highest potential, 1min = 9sen worldwide to all numbers, where to get? Skype is free when it's PC to PC via internet. If you are on 3G mobile phone and try Skype, the quality is very bad and almost impossible...Then next question is does YTLPI really spend RM2.5bil on this Yes thingy? I doubt so. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Nov 23 2010, 08:14 PM) No one can really give you the answer for that. If anyone of us know, we will be richer than WB already I don't know the share price.. but I know the fundamental What you need to know is study this counter and then see whether it is worth your money. Like WB say, "price is what you pay, value is what you get" This post has been edited by June_llk: Nov 24 2010, 10:03 AM |
