Hi bro, don't worry. This is due to YTL management coverted warrant to its mother share. Since the management have confident on its company growth, as an investor, what are you worry about?
smile.gif

Anyway, I have no money in. The CB look very attractive to me now. 0.22 X 2 + 2.15
Mother share stand 2.5 strongly.
If I have money i will in this warrant. However, need to be cautious on korea and north korea war...If situation not right, please cut lose.

I am not into this. But i believe CB is some sort of call warrant which is being issued by third party maybe CIMB investment bank and so on. Not issued by YTL.

If you believe that YTL are fundamentally strong why cut loss due to korean war? You should buy more instead.

It's been some time since I visited lowyat forum. So how are you darkknight? Still piling up on YTL power for the good prospect of YES launching or disposing them afraid the dividend yield might not be as attractive before?

Anyway, strong performance for YTL Power today despite the red CI.

Like i said before it is some sort of profit taking as my average buying price only RM 2.00 excluding dividend. I earned more than RM 500 per lot.

I have profited around 100k from YTLP. I have parked my money at arreit to get higher dividend. wink.gif Doesn't meant arreit is better than ytlp.
YTLP yield less than 6% at my selling price. Whereas arreit yield around 8%. Although i am not sure of the future prospect of wimax but at least i am sure that i get higher dividend.

Who say i don want to buy YTLP? I want to use my dividend earned to buy back at a lower price only tongue.gif

By the way i am not experience investor. I am not qualified as an investor either. Normally i don try to predict on particular stock price movement, what i am more concern is Dividend Yield.

Ok, but I'm sure you will keep this stock sideline and be prepared to jump in if the price dip lower. tongue.gif

Btw, the exercising of the warrants "Kindly be advised that the abovementioned Company’s additional 12,785,070 new ordinary shares of RM0.50 each arising from the aforesaid Exercise will be granted listing and quotation with effect from 9.00 a.m., Friday, 3 December 2010" does drives this YTL Power down a bit.

REIT seems to be a good options for you to reap dividend. But don't expect too much capital gain. It's a mutual exclusive thingy, stock with growing potential has little dividends to offer while stock with dividends to offer has very little growth potential.

I doubt it laugh.gif Will only consider buy back when it dips below RM 2.20 due to reasons below:

1. Pound depreciation
2. EPS diluted due to warrant conversion. (Ventured into wimax with those cash being raised with so many ??? being raised was not fair for us)
3. Renewal of new PPAs with Tenaga so far no news.

You are safe trader. smile.gif Let's see how, I bought because of YTLPower future. You left because of its current dividend yield is less than 6% of your selling price. Next 2 quarters report can tell everything.

I am neither a trader nor investor. I just want to make sure my investment give me a good yield. YTLP gave me almost 50% return within 3 years should be quite ok for me already. Instead of collecting 5 -6% yield. I prefer to go for higher yield.

If you are really going for long term, you should buy at below RM 2.20 not now brother. doh.gif
For long term should buy on weakness instead of buy on strength. My own opinion lol

Look into singapore Reit's as well. With the two casino's doing very well, their tourist arrivals are on the rise. Starhill Global (YTL subsidiary) has a large part of it's investments on two malls at Orchard Road. brows.gif

Two questions from me.

1. Do you know such thing as "CAPITAL GAIN" pls refer to dictionary. wink.gif

2. Who ask you to buy at current price? I start to buy at the price of RM 1.80

not much movements for this counter nowadays...not exciting at all.....

they are sitting on so much cash, but very risk adverse to spend or acquire new assets.....

also reluctant to give windfall to shareholders....

so what else is there to look out for? As for "Yes", its really disappointing so far....
