but those G/L usually cost more right??
i was telling my friend about the pricing albnok posted..and he said those canon/nikon price should be compare against carl zeiss instead..o.o
well..anyway..it doesnt really matters to me..lol
someone(i assume he is anti C, and assumed he jumped to N...) posted in canon forum(not lyn) regarding how terrible L lens were, with sample pic and cropped. i was really surprised it looked that bad. then come to think of it, how to compare with CZ?

my fren ask me to ask this question, which is a good combination for wedding photography...??
1.kitlens+50mm 1.8
2.tammy 1750mm 2.8
3.16-105mm
he has a flash already BTW...just needs some view on u guys...thanx....
2. tammy 1750 F2.8
why?
1. kitlens+50mmF1.8 - lazy to swap. u wan all the nice bokeh with 50 F1.8, suddenly the sisters comes out wans group photo, who wanna wait for u to change lens? u suppose to change before they comes out

3. 16-105, good lens, but with low ceiling, the 105mm is very hard to rely on bounce flash, and with F5.6, usually u have nice exposure of ur subject, but dark background even with bounced flash. and u cant burst well, in burst, at 3rd shutter, usually the flash did not fire.
and since u put in tammy 1750 F2.8, definitely this. why?
standard kitlens zoom+portrait lens 2 in 1. (good close-up too) (anytime go wide for group, anytime go 50mm for portrait)
F2.8 = 2 stop gain. ur flash will fire minus 2 stop power, thus u get less cycle time, u can burst more.
F2.8 even at 17mm, it's average sharp but still able to isolate subjects (group photo) from the background.
F4 17mm, uber sharp, sharp group photo (1 row) no need to step down to F5.6 or F8... since u 10mp resize to viewable size/develop size, the sharpness is maintained.
F2.5 50mm, good bokehlicious photo, at least the subject are must sharper(dof) then 50mm @ F1.8
F4 50mm sharp photo and still have soft bokeh, just soft enough to show background's candid/actions/subjects
But is very subjective too, if i have another backup (or i am the 2nd OP) i would stick with my 50mm F1.4... it's godly with its sharpness, the rest(composition) is up to me,...
*edit: lol, like achew said, wedding photographer best gear ;
2 body.
1750 F2.8
70200G (muahahahaha) for candid
