QUOTE(albnok @ Jan 8 2010, 04:00 PM) finejava: Oh yeah about the carrying cash concern - I have a debit card. I only load money in when I know I need to buy something. Though, the BankCard facility (where you can use your ATM card to directly pay) is probably more used. True true... that's why now it's giving me a chance to get used to the lens I have already... And hey, congratulations on your 3rd Zeiss! I guess I've never gotten those premiums so I am not going to spend for the sake of getting enough points. Ultimately the idea of a credit card is that it's money that you don't have (yet?) Braynumb: The other wonderful thing about saving up for camera stuff is, you should learn how to use what you have in the meantime. QUOTE(finejava @ Jan 8 2010, 04:39 PM) ehm...to me...debit card is the same as ATM card...no privileges or anything, only disadvantage...u will still get charge with 2/3% even though it is a debit card(that is the most ridiculous thing bout a debit card)... hehehe... your words and description of the lens's focus is sooooo poisoning...the idea of having a credit card is...if using card gives u more benefit...than use it...apart from that...it also serve as a reserve cash when u need it during emergency... e.g: 1. generally ATM only allows u to withdraw say rm1500 max per day...so say u going to buy zeiss...will u be going to the ATM for 4-5 times just to withdraw the total? or queue in the bank for 1 hour just to withdraw the cash...i'll take my chances to swipe...to save the hassle... 2. if u got to a restaurant...for say visa card member is entitle for a 50% off the total bill...r u going to use ur debit card or cash? 3. say someone admit into a hospital...they need you to deposit 5k for an emergency operation...will you...that time...look for a computer to load the money? or flash ur card...provided u got enought credit la... my 2 cents... thx to u and braynumb...FYI, the autofocus...is just superbly fast...infact...it's damn fast... |

QUOTE(Soony @ Jan 8 2010, 09:30 PM) Haha , thats why i personally prefer to use a Debit rather than Credit.. shopping, no problem, they should understand.I normally will wait till I have enough cash then baru I buy .. parents never encourage credits =( Ask you guys la , if one day you were purchasing something and your card doesn't work , would you just say sorry and walk away? restaurant? prepare wash plate... hahaha (joke...) this one really need call for help. face is not an issue to me. because, things happens... its part of journey of life, then next time, be smarter... dont make the same mistake twice. finejava: Good points, and funny how we go deep into other topics LOL. I guess I don't like the idea of temptation sitting in my wallet.
freddy manson: Yeah man! When I buy expensive items I usually bring a few friends and they convoy with me from the ATM to the shop. destfull: The Sigma 30mm F1.4 is comparable. There is a rare Minolta 35mm F2.0 which is sharp wide open but you probably won't see it around here. Personally I am waiting for the Samyang 35mm F1.4, supposed to come out second half of 2010. |
