due 2 my HP quality camera and lousy camera skill, the uploaded photo doesnt justify the cuteness rabbit from J Jay Pet station from kota damansara, selangor. he is product by famous Beh & Yo rabbitry.... each day, i admire more & more Beh & Yo.. they are my idol.......!

note: the owner will get the floor mat this evening as J Jay Petstation dont have stock yet.
that is y she use newspaper for temporary. 90% she will name this most cute male holland lop rabbit Mocha

Hi guys,
I have a question. What does it mean when a rabbit suddenly dashes around or flicks its head? This happens all of a sudden. He'll be hopping around and then suddenly he'll dash around for a bit. He'll also flick his head. Maybe got cacing or mites?

Also, my rabbit loves to eat pellets more than hay. I give him a mixture of timothy and alfalfa hay but he seems to prefer pellets. Is this a bad thing?

my rabbit behaves like yours. high chance got mites. my hand sometimes feel itchy after play with them. do u encounter that?

it is bad thing if they dont eat. like other rabbit owners advice, to force them eat pellets is dont feed them so much, sooner or later they eat the fresh timothy and alfafa hay...trust me..it works...

now im actively giving as much food to my rabbit.i want her to grow fat = chubby.but seem to be my goal is hard to achieve.im compare her with my colleague holland lop.they so FAT.

It could be your rabbit is trying to binky. They sometimes do a partial binky, apparently perfect binkies take practice. smile.gif
But then again, excessive head flicking is a sign of ear mites. To be sure, you can bring him to a vet and have him checked out. My rabbit, when I first got him, had this odd habit of flicking his head from side to side so I took him to the vet to make sure he was ok. No sign of mites or fleas, he's just strange like that. smile.gif

When it comes to preferring pellets over hay, it depends on their mood. There are days where my rabbit will eat nothing but pellets and there are times when he eats nothing but hay. You can limit his pellets to twice a day, so he'll have to eat his hay in between feedings. But if your rabbit is young (<6 months), I suggest to just give him an unlimited supply of both.

After I play with him, my hand is not itchy. Doubt if it's mites. But I'll take him to the vet soon for a checkup and possibly to neuter him as well.

I guess he's just happy. Everytime I get near his cage, he spazzes out and heads for the door as if he wants to get out. I let him out everyday for about an hour for him to run around and have fun.

He hardly eats timothy hay and prefers alfalfa. But when there are pellets in the bowl, he goes for the pellets and nothing else. I mix some chopped timothy hay with alfalfa but there are times when he doesnt eat the hay at all.

He also has a habit of nipping things. Me especially. Is this common? He also scratches the floor sometimes. Got to get his nails cut soon too.

Oh yeah, and I don't know his age too. When I got him (around 11 days ago), he could fit into my palm. I think he's a little larger now but I still don't have a clue how old he is.

Vincent, I noticed in your pic that your rabbit is sitting on some blue mat. What mat is that? My rabbit now sits on some kain but he poops on it and pees on it too. I don't want to remove it as I am afraid he'll get sore hocks.
