Surprisingly well in fact. We expected him to be a nervous twitchy little thing, instead we ended up with a monster on our hands. rclxms.gif

Hmmm, I don't know which rabbit breed has it's 'ears come down'. Maybe something like this? Link to pictures and info on 'Rabbit with ear come down' aka Lop-earred rabbits

Added on August 13, 2010, 9:50 amneed advice.few times my rabbit escape from playpan.it happen when i put her in my garden.no matter how hard i beat her,she will do it again next day.is rabbit born forgetful?

for dogs,if we beat them, they wont do it again.but not for this rabbit.i beat her very hard, head, body and until she scream.
*
I'm not sure if rabbits are born forgetful, but I do know of some people that are born stupid. Anyways, you really shouldn't be beating the sh!t out of your rabbit. And definitely not until the scream. Maybe you should read up a little on how to discipline your rabbit. May I also suggest further reading for your personal growth and improvement: Be a better person today!

Hi Vincent, it won't work  rclxub.gif
I tried slap him, chuck him and force him stayed on the ground.
We used water spray to srpay him till whole body wet still same aggresive.
I do not blame him for showing aggresive in terriitory but biting is something  I do not tolerate at all.
Hmm.. really running out of idea.. will expand my help to other rabbit forum for help soon ... icon_question.gif

blink.gif You're putting two un-neutered bucks in a relatively small space, and what the heck did you expect? Did you even read up on bonding rabbits before you decided to bring a new one home? Don't blame the rabbit for your ignorance and lack of common sense.
You have a number of options: Like Eli said, neuter both of them to calm them down. If not, give them separate roaming spaces. Thirdly, you can put one of them up for adoption.
And finally, stop physically abusing your rabbit, he's already terrified and edgy and any form of harsh physical punishment will only aggravate his behaviour.

Hi guys,
I have a question. What does it mean when a rabbit suddenly dashes around or flicks its head? This happens all of a sudden. He'll be hopping around and then suddenly he'll dash around for a bit. He'll also flick his head. Maybe got cacing or mites?

Also, my rabbit loves to eat pellets more than hay. I give him a mixture of timothy and alfalfa hay but he seems to prefer pellets. Is this a bad thing?
*
It could be your rabbit is trying to binky. They sometimes do a partial binky, apparently perfect binkies take practice. smile.gif
But then again, excessive head flicking is a sign of ear mites. To be sure, you can bring him to a vet and have him checked out. My rabbit, when I first got him, had this odd habit of flicking his head from side to side so I took him to the vet to make sure he was ok. No sign of mites or fleas, he's just strange like that. smile.gif

When it comes to preferring pellets over hay, it depends on their mood. There are days where my rabbit will eat nothing but pellets and there are times when he eats nothing but hay. You can limit his pellets to twice a day, so he'll have to eat his hay in between feedings. But if your rabbit is young (<6 months), I suggest to just give him an unlimited supply of both.

That's a good idea. Thanks man.

Yeah he poops and pees on the kain like crazy.

I gave him some toys to play with but he doesn't like it. I gave him a toilet roll, some cardboard boxes and a hay roll but he only bites the hay roll. Any other suggestions?
*
Also, ensure that whatever materials you use as litter bedding absorbs their pee. The strong ammonia their pee gives off can corrode your rabbit's nasal cells making him susceptible to respiratory infections. Hence, kain that stains and soaks up pee not a good idea. Use proper, non-scented, natural pet bedding.

Thank you.

I like HL a lot. They are calm and behave like a dog.

Yesterday I use broom to chase him. Guess what, he ignore me. I use broom to push him, he just sit/lie down as if nothing happen. Not in a scared position, but doesnt bother bout the broom at all.

Really kek si wa. It is so hard to make him run. He take his own sweet him. He very action and proud guy. What to do, he is cutest breed in the world.
*
That's strange. He was really interactive and playful when I saw him at the shop last week. From your description, he sounds like a different rabbit altogether. blink.gif

she only change her behaviour as last week i put male HL with her for 5 days.
then things change liau.

No. She takes it as she's being pursued by a predator. Your rabbit has been patient with you all this while. There aren't many instances where a pet demonstrates patience and maturity beyond that of its owner. Sorry bro, you fail at life.

hi sangterap, i think J Jay is confuse. as i know what is neutral. that time she told me that rabbit can get pregnant. i was so full of questions mark as if Beh is a scientist who can make animal gender from male to female...haha..  that rabbit is not for sale ..they just put it there.. try visit J Jay Petstation if you happen at Kota Damansara. J Jay is an Indian girl (quite young) and is a boss already... smile.gif
are you truluvrabbitry.com owner? if yes, sad to hear about Clark pass away. Last time, when my dog were given away, i cry deeply.
*
No, you are wrong again. I spoke to the shop owner and she said that the rabbit has been neutered so as not to be able to impregnate other rabbits. Also, he's not for sale as the owner is outstation and Jjay is taking care of him on Beh's behalf. Sorry to disappoint your wild sex-change fantasies bro.

last week, my rabbit bite me till my hand got 2 holes with blood. as i tease her by repeatedly remove her food. i'm angry of course even is my fault for playing such game. i beat her head until she scream. think beat for more 10 min until my anger gone. punish her that night for not giving her food. the next morning just give her timothy hay.following day until today,i continue beat her head for 10 min. i wanna train her until her grunt totally disappear. she grunt whenever i take her hay. no condemn as i know what im doing. since the day she got punish by me until today, she getting more obedient where dont try bite me and even grunt. my hand pains whenever i beat her. based from my explanation sounds cruel but if really terrible, long time she die already.

as for old rabbit die, got any marks ? is your friend having male or female rabbit all the time? normally for male, they will bite off the testical.

again, dont condemn my action. im displin my rabbit.

sangterap, wow! i cannot obtain those info by googling "hotot rabbit". ur GREAT  thumbup.gif

since ikano pet safari stated "hotot", definitely is not dwarf hotot where it is white with dark circle surround its eye. i choose my male hotot brown as i miss Mocha. the male holland lop i help take care for 5 days for my colleague. its from J Jay Petstation from Beh rabbitry.

sangterap and the rest, please tell me the truth after see attach photo. is it normal rabbit or good breed hotot?
as it is $80, i dont think i get a good breed.
*
Cute rabbit, doesn't look like a hotot though. I doubt you'd be able to get a pure breed hotot for the amount you paid.

yea. i have no issue with space as my front and back got garden. problem is i don't like normal rabbit. they are long n not cute. remind me as satay rabbit as ppl breed for its meat. not sure can return and ask for exchange. i recall two salesman said different things.the one who serve me said is hotot. but the cashier (another guy) key in as mix breed instead hotot. that time i thought mix breed = hotot+other breed. so dont bother much. but after few owners sharing, i had a bad feeling where mix breed = normal breed rabbit........

Dude, you are comedy gold. You don't go to Petaling Street and buy a Rolex knock-off for 1/50th the price of an original, and then go to a Rolex forum and act like you're surprised why your fake Rolex doesn't look, feel or have the features of the original. This is just being retarded.

If you really can't afford a HL or are reluctant to spend the money on one, quit buying rabbits that you hope are 'close' or 'almost' the same. If you do, at least be happy with the one you bought. shocking.gif

Hi Guys,

Do you know where i can find a vet that can look into my bunnies? They have skin problem. Mom and kids ... i stay near damansara.

Any idea?
*
Check out the FAQ on the first page of this thread. I'd recommend Dr Lynette from
HILLPARK VETERINARY in Kota Kemuning. It's a bit far off from where you live, but she has a way with rabbits. There's another vet in Taman Megah near the Oldtown White Coffee - Yeoh Veterinary or something. I'd avoid that place. Although they know what they are doing (he treated my rabbit for snuffles), the vet handled my rabbit like a dog. Scared the crap out of my poor bunny, traumatized me as well. sad.gif

QUOTE(vincentwee @ Nov 15 2010, 04:46 PM)
u know kota damansara? behind J Jay petstation got a vet. cant remember the vet name. but very professional.
*
If I'm not mistaken, that vet is ok but she didn't quite know how to handle my rabbit. Didn't dare touch him or even pick him up (and he was only 2+months old then). I had to do all that. Overall, I didn't get a sense of confidence in her ability to handle my rabbit.
