Hmm... the keyboard buttons ain't slippery la, glossy only haha... they tend to accumulate dust, smudges etc. need to clean frequently lo  nod.gif

Yeah, do let us know whether GPU switching is available or not~

There's also another Teledynamics branch at the highest floor of Lowyat plaza (opened from Monday to Sunday). The one in Shah Alam only opened during office hours.

Do take note that Acer 3820TG is a 13 incher and does not have an optical drive. Acer laptops have improved alot recently, not sure about the service though, I think its still not that good  hmm.gif Many a times whether a laptop lasts or not depends on how the user takes care of it and also a little bit of luck since its an electronic device  nod.gif

If you're not in a hurry, you can always wait and see if there's any SB laptops which appeals to your tastes  nod.gif Even if there's none, the introduction of SB will inevitably cause a reduction in the prices of the older (Nehalem equipped) laptops  nod.gif

Happy choosing yo~

Ooh ok! ^^ Thanks for the input about LYP branch and tips. Yeah, didn't think about the dust oso..aiyoyo.

True, yeah, depends on luck. But what's frustrating like with my V3000 (compaq) was there was a fault in the screen and only in US they changed for customers free but over here, no cure from HP (pengsan), so guess it's also luck with year of manufacture? cool2.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Yeah, have checked the specs for ACer 3820TG...13 inch good for weight but no optical drive is a killer. Plus the keyboard design isn't my cup of cha. hehe

Yeah, not in a hurry. Erm, me quite noob but what does SB stand for ya? tongue.gif

Terima kasih!

Alot of subnotebooks and ultraportable don't come with optical drives nowadays.... we don't really use them often now do we? haha
You could always get an external drive la nod.gif
As for Acer's keyboard style, it may require some time to get use to using it... I don't really fancy it as well.... I prefer chiclet style ones, better accuracy and typing feel drool.gif
Well, if not in a hurry then its best to wait, more better laptops coming out soon~

Actually, I think that I am going for the L645-brown for the following reason :
1. I am ordered (xD) to stick with Toshiba which unfortunately haven't released any of their laptops with the new SB yet .
2. Even if Toshiba did so then their prices would start from +3.5k .,. And that is kinda above my budget .
3. I was torn between the blue and the brown, but since they have about the same processor speed which won't affect on gaming, then I've choosen the brown .
4. Umm, there was something else I wanted to mention but I forgot it . whistling.gif

Else, I wanted to ask, now for ATi 5650 with 4 g ram, can I play games such as Assassin Creed II and the other new stuffs ?! I am a hardcore noob so your advices are appreciated a lot .

Thank you guys . biggrin.gif

Haha, seldom got ppl who likes brown color haha laugh.gif
1. "Ordered"? You're buying for a company? hmm.gif
2. What's your budget? Can consider the M645 even though the GPU is comparatively weaker. Anyway, I'm sure them new SB Toshiba laptops are just around the corner... Unless really urgent, (again) its still best to wait
3. I like the Blue's design more hehe, but that's just me la~ By choosing the brown, you can use the remaining money to extend the warranty to 3 years, it'll be worth it nod.gif
4. LOL, old liao laugh.gif

You won't have any problems playing Assassin's Creed 2... I was able to play it without any problems with my old Qosmio F60 with GT330M (which is significantly weaker than 5650) nod.gif

actually is better you stick with L645-1123XB(Brwon,Intel Core i5-460M)@RM2549 although new model L645-1169XB(Brown,Intel Core i5-480M)@RM2699 already release

Radeon HD5650M(1GB) + 4GB RAM is sufficient for most of the game right now

http://www.teledynamics.com.my/products/pc/OPL0610.pdf

for upgrade one year regional warranty to two years international warranty, first you have to purchase TWU-UPRWEP01 then TWU-WEP01

1. "Ordered" by parents? hehehe laugh.gif
2. 3k is a good amount I would say, you'll be able to get a moderate gaming/entertainment machine nod.gif Yeah, Toshiba will definitely refresh their 14 inch laptops, but don't expect them to have the most high end GPUs... cause that's usually the trend doh.gif
3. Iirc, the patterns of the blue L645 is different and the location of the Toshiba logo is also different...

hehe, let's wait and see icon_rolleyes.gif

Better specs compared to the old L series? Definitely! But the specs sure won't be as good as Toshiba's rivals i.e. Acer, Asus, Delll etc. for the same price... laugh.gif
i5-460M better than which new coming one? SB processors are very powerful 1 lo, cannot underestimate them haha laugh.gif
