qosmio x500 is using GTS250M, which loses to Nvidia GTX260M/GTX280M or ATi HD4870/HD5870 in alienware or asus gaming laptops....

The problem is availability, which certainly would hard to find in stock for high-end notebook...
why not order from your new place? Asus G73JH is considered the best gaming notebook with single GPU (ATi HD5870) as for now, at mucro.asia, it cost rm 5.8k This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Feb 8 2010, 10:14 PM |

GT330M is better than ATi HD4570
Though for the same price of Toshiba F60, you can get ATi HD4670 on Dell Studio XPS 16, which is better than GT330M for gaming |

16:9 means the ratio, not resolution...
it can be either 1366x768, 1600x900, 1920x1080... |

If its the hidden partition, shops can't help.
You would need to refer to the service center for them to put back the hidden partition, but that usually for some fee.... |

^IMO, the specs is pretty much average though...
even 3K notebook can overwhelm it, graphical performance wise... |

For gaming, this would be more preferable...
Toshiba Satellite M645-1002X, i5 450M + Nvidia GT330M@RM3999 or Toshiba F60-S530, i3 330M + Nvidia GT330M@RM3199.... |

What OS?
32-bit or 64-bit? When you check on BIOS? What's the amount of RAM stated? Try run CPU-Z, go to the Memory tab, how much the amount of RAM stated? and go to the SPD tab, see how much amount ram in each ram slot... or just open up the access panel to the RAM compartment and plug the ram out and insert it back, maybe just bad contact....
