I downloaded my Value Added Package from a blog which is providing a lot of toshiba related information, i dont remember the url any more but i got it from google. It's a blog hosted by blogspot.

Yep, the speaker is...nice. Hahaha...Even at 40% it's louder than the max of my previous laptop. Plus, there's this dolby control centre that can tweak a bit of the surround sound. Wahahaha...

Toshiba really had too many preloaded software...my machine is super slow on startup. sad.gif Upon logging into windows...

Btw, T.J, you uses U2 ? Wouldnt it be a lil bit too small for the F60 ? Or just nice ? Cause it seems U3 will be more sufficient for a laptop this big. Although U2 support up to 17" if i'm not wrong.

Hehe, that's why I told you I've never tried setting the speakers to 100%.... too loud le sweat.gif
Well, a lot of brands also provide alot of bloatwares. You can delete/ disable some upon startup, that'll help speed things up.
I've deleted Toshiba Bulletin Board (totally useless) LOL... You can forget about face recognition too (too slow, type password a whole lot faster), you can delete Toshiba Reeltime too (if you're not using, off course) hehe~
It doesn't matter what you deleted since you can always reinstall them again haha laugh.gif

I kept PC health monitor, HDD sensor and Eco Utility because these are the more useful ones...

Well, during the time I bought my U2 there ain't a U3 yet haha....
The U2 can be used on the Qosmio F60 even though its around 1cm smaller (in terms of width) than the Qosmio. If you have a very large bag perhaps its better to just get the U3?

My Speaker is gone ! It's burst. I dunno how to explain in english but it's burst. Once it's over 40% of volume every sound became like that. I didnt turn on the volume very loud except for just once when i was trying it, normally i kept it around 40-60%. It just burst out of sudden after i turn on my laptop sad.gif

I think it might be caused by a sudden lag which had caused the music that was playing jerked suddenly...i mean, it's like, when the load is heavy and playing music at the same time, suddenly the music hangs for a while a produce something like noise, not too high pitch though, just...i dunno how to explain but i think you guys might know.

And now my speaker is gone...i cant think of a way except to send it back to Toshiba and have them fix it for me sad.gif
D*mn it it's not even 24 hours !

Arrrrggghhhh !!! Damn it i cant believe it !!!!!

Burst? shocking.gif As in cannot use anymore?
Wah.... so fast 1?
The sudden lag (transformers-like sound) is normal, especially when the laptop is on load... Me and Eguy1314 did experience this also...

That's weird, I've tried opening at 100% also no problem hmm.gif Nonetheless its sad to hear that.... I better not open that loud next time....
Since its totally new perhaps you should just ask for a new one, noneed repair.
By the way, have you registered for your international warranty and also obtained the coupon for the free 2nd and 3rd year local warranty?

For the lag sound, this might help to diagnose it...

The "transformer" sound a, I also experienced that before but recently didn't notice le, maybe less listening to music? During gaming I think no transformer sound. I also got use 100% volume sometime but no problem le. I mean no burst le. Well, no guaranty.

Thank you sifu! notworthy.gif
I've downloaded and tried the program according to the manual but I couldn't seem to identify which device is actually causing the lags hmm.gif
Any tips?
The lagging doesn't happen very often.... it often happens during startup (if start playing musics too fast)... and it also happens under load (but not always) rclxub.gif

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

Still can use, but when the volume goes over 40% then the defects in speaker is very obvious. Apparently some portion of the speaker is spoilt. I dunno what cause this problem, whehter it's related to the transformer-sound couldnt be sure also...wonder why am i so f**king lucky to get all these problem like dead pixel and defective speaker. D*mn annoyed. Ooops...seems like i used too much of vulgar words.

T_T so sad. I'm on holiday now but my new semester is coming soon...i'm afraid i dont have enough time to get this fixed before my new semester starts next next week (18th).

Try disable some device like wireless, ethernet one by one, see which one can reduce the latency...
or try to update driver to latest one, usually that one helps..

I've been watching drama with my laptop for hours (abt 3-4 hours) and now before i sleep i tried my speaker again and it seems to be working well again even at 100% volume. While i was watching drama it was at 40% all the time.

Could it be the speaker need a bit of warm up or kinda like burn in too ? Strange it's working well now.
