QUOTE(WjLye @ Oct 5 2010, 06:42 AM)
I have a few questions here.

First of all, while i was setting up the new Qosmio F60-S531, i got to choose the windows version and i chose 64 bit. And when the recovery process from Toshiba software is done, it enters the windows and says preparing for the first time usage. And then when it enters the windows, before i can even do anything, it just start a windows that says it's configuring system and then after that reboot. Enter windows again and start configuring again and reboot again. And this loop seems like goes on forever. I think it happened at least 7 times until i shutdown the laptop. Is it the normal procedure ? Should i just let it configure and reboot as many times as it wants ? What if the loops goes on forever ?

Well, my case is kinda special cause i notice a DEAD PIXEL on the brand new machine. I did the setting up of  the laptop on the spot in the shop by myself cause i have actually known the shop owner for quite sometime. When it was running the Toshiba recovery software there's no DEAD PIXEL and when it started the windows then suddenly i notice the DEAD PIXEL on the LCD. -.=" It sucks big time when the new machine i have anticipated for so long are faulty T.T
Anyone experienced this problem ?

But the shop owner says that she'll send it back to her supplier and see what can be done. I am expecting a brand new machine but not just a fix as i didnt even accepted the machine as a customer.

Disappointed, not in Toshiba, but the fact that i couldnt bring it home yesterday. Arrggghhhh !!!!!

That is normal. Let it restart as many time as it need. I think it is something like for every software you install, you need to restart your computer so that it function properly or whatever la. It takes long time, I not sure how long but hours maybe. (late reply)

I received my F60-S531 and brought it home today !!!
Everything was fine until now, i dont know what i disabled, my feather touch button is not working, not anymore. Now, of all the feather touch button, only the volume control button works (only the - and + buttong is working), all others like mute button, play/pause, wireless button all is not working anymore sad.gif

It was working fine at first but after a while its not working anymore. Within these moments:
*2 windows updates is installed.
*i installed quite a few number of programmes
*i changed the software that will launch upon boot up

p/s: i tried to enable back all the software i disabled to launch during boot up but still it's not working.

Anyone has any idea to save the feather touch button ? Help pls sad.gif

p/s2: I'm running on 64-bit.

Update: It's working again after i reinstalled the Toshiba Value Added Package. Weee ~ smile.gif

Grats on your purchase!
Yeah, it seems you are experiencing the same problem as me.... cry.gif
Those damn drivers don't work properly on 64-bit OS haihss....
The multimedia buttons stopped working each time I run CCleaner if I'm not mistaken, really a pain in the *** sweat.gif

Tested the speakers? brows.gif
There's sample songs in the "Music" folder which you should try out, keng ar notworthy.gif

You should try to uncheck something on CCleaner that might "disable" the multimedia button..

Thanks for your words of wisdom sifu notworthy.gif
It seems every time I clean the registry then the multimedia functions will stop to function.... will try to find the cause and disable it....

The main problem is that my original Value Added Package doesn't cause the multimedia buttons to work on 64-bit. They only work on 32-bit sweat.gif
So in the end I have to go to Ireland Toshiba to download the Value Added Package for the Qosmio F60 there LOL doh.gif
Couldn't find any other solutions cry.gif
